PEACEFUL WINTER ON THE FARM

HELLO EVERYONE
A NICE QUIET WET WEEK DOWN SOUTH.
I THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE SOME OF OUR BEAUTIFUL FARM DURING THE WINTER MONTHS WITH YOU.
CANADA
Peter is thoroughly enjoying his time away. He is having a wow of a time with his daughter Sammy and seeing the wonderful sites. I am looking forward to the photos on his return.
AMELIA PARK
Both Lou and Dion have visited us in the last week. They have been delivering more horses for Pre-Training, the stable staff are certainly working the extra hours with full stables and paddocks. Wherever you are on the farm horses surround you, what a great feeling.
The Golf Driving Range is coming along nicely with Landscaping underway and with it being directly opposite the Tennis Court and The Aviary, on completion will make it a beautiful area of the farm.
I will check with Lou for any racing ahead and report to you with the details.
Enjoy your week everyone!
regards
Shelley

DEPARTURE & ARRIVAL

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks update.

DEPARTURE

Peter departed for Canada on Sunday and will be away for approximately 3-4 weeks so I will be liaising with Lou and the Staff to give you a weekly update. I am sure Peter will enjoy his break away as he has been extremely busy in his business. He is really looking forward to seeing his daughter Sammy, a lot of catching up to do!!

RACING
It is a quiet few weeks at this stage but apparently all the horses are either resting or in Pre Training and everyone is progressing as they should.

AMELIA PARK

ARRIVAL
Not quite Canada but I have just spent 3 days in Kalgoorlie catching up with a friend. It has certainly grown in the 27 odd years since my last visit there. The sadness was seeing some of the old Hotels that bore the brunt of the earthquakes recently but they are banding together to restore as much as possible. I was still able to have a few off the wood in some that are still operating. The Super Pit is something to see, its amazing the size of it, we are lucky we have such rich minerals for our State.

THE CREEK IS FINALLY RUNNING
It is a great sight to walk over the bridge everyday and see the water meandering thru the farm. All the horses are adapting to the recent rains, as we are trying to do, and enjoying the rays of sunshine filtering thru.

I hope everyone enjoys their week and I will attempt to have more racing news for you to report.

OFF TO CANADA

Welcome all, has everyone been as cold as we are down here, the days are perfect but waiting for the rain which also brings some warmth.

RACING RESULT
REPRISAL
Very disappointed with the result. Apparently when travelling kicked up mud in its mouth which put him off, thats a reasonable excuse anyway!

HORSE UPDATE

AMELIAS LAD - Is back in work and looking forward to his next campaign.
CHIRON - Is developing nicely and having Galileo as the Sire will certainly give it a great start.
MARCELLUS - Has shin sore at the moment but again having Galileo as the Sire we are sure this horse is going to be a sure winner.
EUROPA POINT - Recovering well and has been taken up to Brisbane for a time.
LADY XAAR - Will be running but unsure what race day, I will keep you posted.

AMELIA PARK
Peter enjoyed his weekend with Brian Bradley and Barbara. Peter said it is exciting at this time of year when they sit down and decide which Stallions will be suitable for their breeding.

We love the trees (hundreds of them) at the farm, but the leaves - oh the leaves!!
The gutters are bursting so the staff will be
Peter said he is looking very much forward to travelling to Canada this weekend. He will spend some quality time with his daughter Samantha and do the tourist jaunt. I have asked for lots of photos for the report BUT will also ask Sammy as a backup.

As Peter will be away for about 3 weeks I will do my best to give weekly racing reports without his input.

ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY PETER!

Have a great week everyone and see you here next week.

ICE, ICE AND MORE ICE

Hello all, welcome to this weeks report. We hope everyone enjoyed their week.
We have changed the Weekly Report now to TUESDAY, sorry for the changes.

SATURDAY 12TH - FLEMINGTON RACE 8
REPRISAL - 2000 metres
Peter is looking forward to this race, Hayesy is very confident the horse will perform well so we will all have eyes on the tv. Good luck to Peter.

RED TIME RUNNER
Disappointing run on Wednesday, a lot more maturing to do yet.
LADY XAAR
Unfortunately Lady was bumped during the run and couldn't get back into it.

QUIET UPCOMING RACING WEEK

AMELIA PARK
Yet another busy weekend for Peter hosting guests, the weather has been beautiful so lovely long walks around the Farm and long luncheons.

This weekend Amelia Parks Breeding Guru, Brian Bradley will visit with Barbara to assist Peter in making decisions on some of the horses breeding future. We are looking forward to catching up with them.

The mornings are freezing here, below 0 yesterday, all the lawns are iced over, the animals and us are treading carefully until the sun comes out.

SPONSORSHIP
Peter said this week he met with the Turf Club of Perth and Bunbury and has DOUBLED THE SPONSORSHIP. Peter is always extremely happy with their professional service. I for one am looking forward to next time we are off to the races.

I wish everyone a great weekend and enjoy the sunny days.

GOOD RUNNING REPRISAL
