GOOD NEWS

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.





PERTH SALES
Peter was thrilled with the result.  Sold 2 for very good prices in the $70,000 plus range which considering the market.
Peter also is very happy that one of the horses that he is very keen on, he has retained majority share and Darren McAuliffe and Dan Morton have taken up the balance so Peter is really looking forward to watching and sharing this one.



MELBOURNE
Peter enjoyed his trip over, not disappointed with Petrology as in very high class field and will now be in preparation for the Guineas so still full and exciting times ahead.

He also caught up with the Coolmore boys which was great.

Bjorn Baker also went to Melbourne so Peter had a Dinner with him and great catchup.

Bjorn said High Seas has done well and should go very close in the upcoming race on Wednesday.

BALI
Peter finished his round trip to Bali and was pleased with the renovations that have been finished at Tanah Lot.



ROSEHILL GARDENS - NSW
WEDNESDAY 25TH - RACE 7
With a great barrier draw 3, in this 1900m race High Seas is looking very much a great chance.

NEW MANAGER AT AMELIA PARK

SARAH BROWN

Peter is thrilled to announce that Sarah will be starting at the Farm on 8th March and so looking forward to her expertise with Horses.

We all look forward to making Sarah very welcome to AMELIA PARK.

THE END IS NEAR

The final works on the house, carpark and finishing touches to the landscaping and WORK ON THE FARM IS DONE.

 I SHOULD GET PETER TO PUT THAT IN WRITING!!!!!!!!

Peter flew over for this race, Petrology gave it everything but was up against a class field.

BUSY WEEK
PETER FLEW TO MELBOURNE, THEN BACK THEN ONTO BALI AND WILL RETURN SATURDAY.  I WILL GET ALL THE GOSS THEN!!!



MAGIC MILLION SALES PERTH

I believe 2 out of 3 Horses have Sold so far that Peter had listed so will be interested to hear the final results.

PETER SAID THIS RACE MAYBE A BIT SHORT BUT WILL GIVE IT HIS ALL.

TIME'S UP - QUIET TIME AT AN END!!

HIGH SEAS   -   THIRD
NEWCASTLE
That was a great run in a 1500m race.  Much to short but good start.  In the next 3-4 weeks should have a race suitable for distance.


MAKE YOUR MOVE  -  SECOND
TRIAL
Ran a tidy race and there should be something available next week to start the campaign.


UPCOMING RACES

SLINGSBY
FIRST UP RUN WITH ADAM AND THEY FEEL THIS IS A HORSE TO  "WATCH".





PETROLOGY
DECISION MADE LATER TODAY
MAYBE A GROUP 1 RACE WITH TOP SHELF       OR
GROUP 2 - OWN AGE RACE

WILL ADVISE TOMORROW ON DECISION!!


PETER SAID IF IT IS A GROUP 1 RACE HE WILL DEFINITELY FLY TO MELBOURNE TO WATCH.

HE HAS HAD 7 X SECONDS IN GROUP 1 RACES SO HE DOES NOT WANT TO MISS THIS CHANCE!






COUNTESS AMELIA
SHOULD JUMP OUT IN THE NEXT WEEK OR SO.




PETER SAID HE DID ENJOY HIS QUIET TIME BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND READY TO GET BACK INTO IT.


AND SO IT BEGINS:


PERTH SALES START AND PETER HAS 3 IN SO HE WILL BE UP FOR THAT.
THE COOLMORE BOYS WILL ARRIVE THIS WEEKEND SO A NIGHT OR TO IN PERTH TO CATCH UP THEN ONTO THE SALES MONDAY AND TUESDAY.

OFF TO BALI NEXT WEEK TO INSPECT ALTERATIONS AND ADDITIONS CARRIED OUT ON TANAH LOT.

HOME AND THEN HOPEFULLY STRAIGHT OVER TO MELBOURNE!!!

THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks SHORT NEWS from Amelia Park.





QUIET  QUIET  QUIET

It is actually very quiet at the Farm this week THIS DOESN'T HAPPEN VERY OFTEN.

Peter has a lot that is going to be happening in the next few weeks but at the moment its BORING ON THE HORSE NEWS.


There are a few coming to trialls and THAT WILL BE EXCITING TO SEE THE BABYS STARTING THEIR RACING LIFE.


I don't know if PETROLOGY is having a start this week or next but will keep you posted.


PERTH HORSE SALES
Peter has some horses that are in their final preparation for the Sales,  Peter said it will be interesting to see what prices will got for,  he was surprised that the Eastern States prices were so high, its not the same over here of course, but will be interesting.


WINE TASTING UNDERWAY
Peter was at least excited this weekend when the slab was poured for the beginning of the erection of the Wine Tasting Building.


WELL FOLKS THAT IS THE WEEKS REPORT, EVEN PETER HAD A QUIET BORING WEEKEND, BUT HE DOESN'T MIND THE LAPSE BEFORE IT ALL BEGINS AGAIN IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS FOR HIM, SO ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN PETE!!!
