HERE TODAY - GONE AGAIN

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

RACING THIS WEEK
CHIRON - BELMONT WEDNESDAY RACE 3
This is exciting - Everyone looking forward to this race, putting a lot of hope in Chiron and have been told should be a good bet to be on. COME ON CHIRON.

YOUNGSTERS
Lou's stables are mostly full of the young ones coming thru so pretty quiet racing at the moment but boy it will be exciting times to come.

SATURDAY BIRTHDAY RACE DAY
Peter is taking Wanga to the races this week to celebrate Wanga's Birthday. I have told Peter to have a quiet Friday night because when those 2 get together it is usually a very very late night.

GONE AGAIN
I was looking forward to catching up with Peter this week for a few wines but on Sunday he flew out again. He is in Kuala Lumpur on business and will return on Thursday.

SCOOP SHOOT
Peter reported that the photo shoot went very well and the weather was perfect on the day. The article will be out in September and I will keep you updated with the details.

OUR STAR JOCKEY
We are thrilled for Kevin Bohorun who races in Kalgoorlie most weekends. He bought home a great 1st and 2nd on the 18th and I should have been on both rides as 1st paid out $21.00 and 2nd paid out $26.00. Well done Kev and keep up the great work.

AMELIA PARK
We awoke on Thursday last to find a huge gum had decided to drop and in doing so smashed the horse fence and landed in the paddock. Luckily the horses weren't harmed but had to be moved quickly. The staff riders had to walk their horses past quietly so as not to spook them on their way to the track. The chain saws got to work and all cleared within a few hours.
Everything else at the farm is running smoothly and I have to repeat it again THE CREEK is rapidly creeping up the banks and looking splendid. The bird life are in their glory and starting to look around for a safe and cosy place to build their nests. Its a great time of the year.

Here's to a great weekend for everyone and look forward to reporting next week.

SCOOP SHOOT

Hello everyone, we are enjoying cold mornings but some beautiful sunny days at the moment, just perfect really.

SCOOP MAGAZINE
Peter is thrilled that Scoop World Magazine are coming to Amelia Park on Thursday to do an article so the staff are busy bees getting all in readiness. We will advise when the article will be issued.

CHIRON
Ran a good first up run to come third, both Peter and Lou are very pleased with this horse and look for further good results.
Maybe running on Wednesday or Saturday IN A 1600M RACE so will keep you posted.
TIME FOR BLACK
Pricey said he may have a run at Northam on Thursday.

BROKEN DOWN
CHINA BAY & AMELAS LAD
Unfortunately these two horses have broken down and will not be racing again.
China Bay had certainly paid its way so now time for a rest.
Amelias Lad was showing consistency but did not improve from a knee injury. We say goodbye and thankyou.

DAY SPA & GYM
Peter advised that he has appointed a lady to run the Day Spa for massages etc and will be moving to Amelia Park to commence work within the next 1-2 months. My back and shoulders feel better already.

All else is great at the farm and we look forward to Thursday, I will put my Sunday best on!!

regards to all and look forward to next week reporting.

ARRIVED HOME SAFELY

Greetings everyone, I hope you all had a good week and enjoying the rain but not the cold and report to you on the happenings at Amelia Park.

HOME SAFE & SOUND
Its great to see Peter arrive home safely in the wee hours of Sunday morning. By stopping off at Hong Kong for a few days I think has helped the jet lag a bit.
Peter said it is the longest trip away for a while and he really missed the farm.
The enjoyable part for him is coming home to see that the farm staff have been looking after everything as if it was their own. He is very appreciative to everyone and passed comment that it is looking beautiful and THE CREEK IS RUNNING.

BACK TO RACING

BELMONT WEDNESDAY - RACE 1
CHIRON - 1400M FIRST START
Peter is looking forward to this race, Chiron has been drawn outside but looking for a good finish and will be keenly watched on this first up performance. He will then be bought straight back to the farm. They believe this magnificent looking horse has a great future ahead.

NORTHAM THURSDAY - RACE 7
TIME FOR BLACK - 1600M
Pricey is very confident this horse will be hard to beat so Peter is excited about both days of racing.

BEING SHIPPED OUT
BROOD MARES
A number of Peters Brood Mares will be shipped all over Australia in the next two weeks in preparation to be served. We will again look forward to next years foals.

AMELIA PARK PRODUCTS
Peter informed me that the October launching of Amelia Park Products and Wines is well underway and we will keep you informed beforehand so keep an eye open.

CANADA & LAS VEGAS
Peter thoroughly enjoyed his time with daughter Sammy in Canada. He admired the beautiful Scenery and sights that Sammy showed them. Sammy will be returning home in January with her partner who Peter says will fit in nicely as he loves fishing and camping. Peter is very much looking forward to her homecoming.
He then spent several days in Las Vegas (I am very envious) which he said was a fantastic place to see. I am still waiting to catch up with him to hear more and see the photos I hope he took!!

AMELIA PARK
Peter was very pleased with the progress of the Golf Driving Range and Brett is working hard finishing off the planting and landscaping surrounds. I still can't get anyone interested in retrieving the golf balls from the dam but I am working on it.
His residence is moving along as planned and he said he came across some excellent Paintings while he was away which will suit the Cigar Room so they are being shipped home.

RACING SYNDICATE
Peter informed me that he will be starting another Syndicate next year and I will keep you informed with details. If anyone is interested please feel free to email me at geobay@bigpond.net.au for further discussion. I am sure it will be another winner as the previous Syndicates have been, its great to be involved.

I hope you all enjoy your racing this week and look forward to reporting next week.

BACK FROM HOLIDAYS

Hello everyone, welcome to this weeks report.

I apologise for the lateness this week but have been away (nowhere exciting).

I hope you enjoyed the Farm pictures posted last week!

PETER WILL RETURN ON THE WEEKEND and we are all looking forward to seeing him and hearing about his adventure.

QUIET WEEK again this last week so not a lot to report only that the staff are still flat out with their full stables. We welcome Ruth to Amelia Park who has been employed to assist Christy and Tegan with the horses. They are so so pleased.

Lou reports that all is going well both at Amelia Park and his stables in Perth.

I look forward to sending thru a full report next week after Peter's return to reality.

We are certainly enjoying the rain here and only hope our Farmers will benefit also.

Enjoy your week everyone.

regards
