HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY

The Mail, January 26th 2011

GREETINGS EVERYONE AND A VERY HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY TO ALL, WE HOPE IT IS A GREAT DAY FOR ALL TO CELEBRATE OUR WONDERFUL COUNTRY AND I'M SURE THE TRADITIONAL BARBIE BREKKY WENT DOWN WELL.

BLACK SWAN REHABILITATION PROGRAM

Our Local Newspaper has published an article on Amelia Park about the rescue and release program it has undertaken. Peter is thrilled the Cygnets are enjoying their sanctuary and will continue to entice the flora and fauna here.
RACING
Red Time Runner - Its back home for Red for a rest and restart for the next campaign.
JESSICAS CHOICE
Should have a run next week and I will keep you posted.
AMELIA PARK STABLES
There are a lot of horses in Pre-Training and getting prepared for the Autumn Season and we look forward to some exciting racing ahead.
Peter enjoyed a visit from Brian Bradley, Ken Whittaker and Colin from the East who have several horses at the Farm. They were impressed with their lot and long discussions were had at the Cellar that night. I think a quiet morning for all!!
Peter is enjoying his last couple of weeks before he re-starts his normal yearly business ventures overseas in February.
We say goodbye to Peggy & Ivan who return home to celebrate the Chinese New Year Celebrations for the next 3 weeks. The massages and pampering bookings will have to wait until their return. I am FIRST off the rank.
ENJOY YOUR DAY AND LOOK FORWARD TO REPORTING NEXT WEEK.
regards

AMELIA PARK CYGNET SWAN REHABILITATION

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

RACING THIS WEEK

ASCOT WEDNESDAY 19TH

JESSICAS CHOICE - RACE 1
Peter is looking forward to seeing how this horse performs on 1st up. Hoping it is a tidy run.

RED TIME RUNNER - RACE 2
Red should give a good performance in this race.

Good luck to both horses.

AMELIA PARK
Glenn contacted the Fauna Group on Peters behalf after seeing an article in our Local that the Cygnet Swans were in trouble and Fauna were looking for somewhere to rehabilitate them. After inspecting Amelia Park 9 cygnets were delivered and have been fenced in at one of the dams. They have been fed twice a day and some were released this morning. What a gorgeous sight to see them testing their skills. Fauna, led by Beverley, delivered another 6 today and also have been penned for a few days to build up their strength. Beverley said Amelia Park is ideal for them because as they mature there are several dams they can move to and in the hope that they, or some of them may make it their home.
The Newspaper will be here on Friday to catch them on film and an article about them.
We are all so excited to be able to assist and watch them learning to stretch and flap and eventually make their own way in life.
Peter is so chuffed, he has always commented that he would LOVE BLACK SWAN AT AMELIA PARK.

I will keep you posted with their progress.

I hope everyone enjoys their upcoming weekend and good luck with your horse racing folks.

SURPRISE SURPRISE

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Peter had a lovely Surprise Party on Saturday Night. Daughter Samantha and Annie arranged for his family and friends to share his night which was a Movie Night Under the Stars. They had hired a huge Cinema Screen and everyone had a picnic in the Amphitheatre on a perfect night.
Peter was very moved with their effort and everyone did well in keeping it under wraps.
Our thanks for a great night.

ANOTHER QUIET RACING WEEK - Always this time of the year.
Amelias Gem will go for a spell, they still believe it can produce some good runs.

AMELIA PARK
Peter fare welled Darren McAulay and family, they have had a ball at the farm and were reluctant to pack their bags.

The Guest House I think will have a break for a few days - (apparently - we will see).

We certainly enjoyed the 40ml of rain last week, there is nothing like it, you can virtually watch everything grow. Now the hot weather has returned and its like it didnt happen.

A brief report this week so look forward to some news to report next week and I wish everyone who was lucky enough to be off during the Xmas/New Year break to ENJOY BEING BACK TO WORK like all of us.

regards

WE WELCOME 2011

Hello everyone and I look forward to reporting all the Racing and Events at Amelia Park for the coming year. I hope it doesn't go as fast as 2010, definitely must have skipped a few months there.

Peter thoroughly enjoyed seeing in the New Year and he hopes everyone did the same.

RACING RESULTS
AMELIAS GEM
Didn't make the grade on the day, keep trying!

QUIET RACING THIS WEEK
Nothing on the books this week, all busy preparing for the next few weeks. I will report on the happenings next week.

AMELIA PARK
As per previous report, the cars just keep coming and going.
I don't think the GUEST HOUSE has been vacant yet.
Peter is wearing a path around the Farm showing all his different Visitors the Tavern, Aviary, Day Spa, Cellars, new home construction, golf driving range, not to mention all the stables and horses, he is having a ball.

The Tavern is being decked out for Friday night as Peter is hosting party for 30 odd friends and colleagues. A late one I am thinking.

WE ALL SEND PETER LOTS OF VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR THE 8TH AND HOPE HE CONTINUES HIS CELEBRATING ON THE DAY.

I hope you all enjoyed your Festive Season and look forward to reporting next week.

Regards
