TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY

PETER SENDS TO ALL FRIENDS & FAMILY

A HAPPY AND SAFE CHRISTMAS

AND A WONDERFUL 2012 TO FOLLOW

The Countdown has started - 3 MORE SLEEPS before Santa arrives.

Peters countdown started well before this.

It began on Friday Night with a Dinner for his immediate family followed by the Annual Walsh Family Camp at Gregs property on Saturday. Father Christmas was found hiding in the Trees and Peter remarked he didn't know who had the most fun - I think the Adults get more of a kick out of it!

Then Sunday saw Peter have an enjoyable Dinner with Darren and Wes, Peter said it was great to catch up with them before the busy Season.

Monday he had a visit from Damien Oliver with Trish, Pat and the kids. Damien is recovering from an operation so he is looking forward to hopefully being back in the saddle mid January - Peter commented that maybe he will ride Marcellus for him on his return.

Next - Peter will have a Christmas Eve Dinner for the 'Orphans' at the Farm - Abbas from India, Peggy from Taiwan, Aliece from France and Owen from Perth. He certainly looks after his staff.

I believe a quiet Christmas Day will follow - BUT THEN its all on - Rob Wiley and all the crew will arrive for the next week or so. Peter make sure the Panadol is at hand!!!!!!!

Peter sends his best wishes to all his Staff and thanks them for the wonderful jobs they do and it is a great environment at Amelia Park that has been created.

*WATCH THIS SPACE*

Peter is so excited about 2012 where all the Youngsters will get to show their form. He has had a big cleanout and truly believes that with the excellent Bloodlines coming thru - 2012/13 IS GOING TO BE A RACING WINNER OF A SEASON.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE

Peter is also confident with the horses that will be on the track next year - RUBACORI will be the first for the new year and they are planning on progressing to the Magic Millions for a THIRD WIN.

ANNUAL SYNDICATE CONCERT AT AMELIA PARK - MARCH 3RD

It will again be held in March for Syndicate Members and I will keep you regularly informed with the happenings. KEEP IT IN THE DIARY!!!

HE HAS SEEN EVERYTHING

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

LIVE FROM INDIA
Peter is having a very busy time over there this week with Business at the Trade Fairs. However he found some time off and was being taken to the TAJ MAHAL today - what an experience! He commented that the Hotel, Food and Service is top rate and how very different it is from home - mind you he said - "some things are the same"!!!!

He will fly to Mumbai and then home on Sunday and the family are looking forward to welcoming him home - no doubt it will be off Xmas Shopping soon after.

HOME TO KL FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Leah leaves this week to spend some quality time with her Mother in Kuala Lumpur and will return late January to begin her exciting University life.
We wish Leah a wonderful and happy Xmas at home - the place will certainly miss her smiling face and cheekiness.

RACING SATURDAY
MARCELLUS AT FLEMINGTON
It will be exciting to watch this comeback after some time off the track. We are all looking forward to his performance.

WHAT A STORM
WE MISSED OUT
Perth certainly had a worse than Winters Day this week. We were waiting for the heavens to open up - but just a shower or 2. Very unusual we missed out.

Everything is fine at Amelia Park, Owen and Kristy doing a great job with Handling an Pre-Training - I think the FLIES ARE GIVING THEM AND THE HORSES SOME JIP!

Enjoy your week and see you back here next week.

RACING

ALMOHAD

Unfortunate and sad but this great horse has had enough and can't recover from all its recurring problems. Peter said its time for a rest, ' should have won the Perth Cup but for some hiccups in the industry'.

SALES

The staff are still busy getting more of the Youngsters ready to leave for the Sales, its sad to see them go.

UP AND AWAY

Peter leaves for India on Saturday for a week of busy business meetings, I think Abbas will stow away in Peters suitcase so he can catch up with his family!!!

CURRY FEAST

Peters friend Sharon will cook up a feast tonight to thank Peter for a wonderful holiday here with daughter Page. They leave for home tomorrow, it was lovely meeting and chatting with them.

TIRED PARTY GIRL

Peter said Leah is home after a solid week or so of partying. Sleep well - as now the work on the farm begins!!

The Staff are all great, Owen is really fitting in well, Aleece is recovering well from her fall and is visiting the stables nearly every day, champing at the bit to get back - boredom has set in big time.

Peter sends all good wishes to the unfortunate Families involved in the devastating Margaret River Fires - you cannot imagine how they must feel, our hearts go out to them all.

See you next week everyone

THE HEAT HAS HIT THIS WEK

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

REPRISAL ARRIVES HOME
We all welcomed Reprisal with open arms, it is a great horse and you could see he knew he was home, straight into his paddock and looking very content. Hopefully he can get a few runs in after his spell.

MARCELLIUS
Looking good and should be on the track within the next 2 weeks.

ALMOHAD
RACING SATURDAY - RACE 3
Just hoping to see some positives at this stage. Come on Almohad show us you've still got it!

YEARLING SALES
Peter said the Yearlings have left to be in readiness for the upcoming Sales.

FOALS
Busy being handled at the moment and coming along wonderfully.

AMELIA PARK
Peter had a Welcome afternoon on Sunday for SHARON AND PAGE who arrived from Kuala Lumpur to holiday at the Farm for 10 days. It was a great afternoon/evening (as usual) and yum the STEAKS WERE MOUTHWATERING.
Peter is looking forward to spending some quality time with them.
Page attended a School Day with Jessica this week and thought it was wonderful.
It was great to see Leah who had a group of friends she had invited and they were celebrating NO MORE EXAMS! My goodness how she has grown into a beautiful young lady. You could see Peter scratching his head already!!

Tegan led Jessica and Page around the Farm on good old Maggie, Page was in raptures, you could hear her squeals of delight.

It has certainly warmed up this week, just about all our green paddocks are turning very quickly, thankfully the trees stay a lush green throughout our Summer.

Enjoy your Week and Racing everyone and look forward to next week.

REPRISAL TO COME HOME

Welcome everyone to this weeks Amelia Park News.

REPRISAL
Unfortunately did not perform and Haysey and Peter have decided to bring the horse home. It has done a great job in Melbourne with winnings of approx. $230,000 and Peter thanks Haysey for a great job. He will come home to Amelia Park for a spell and then try him with a few races at home to see if he has reached his peak.

SONGBURG
A little disappointing but as Peter says as 2 yr olds they go off quick and then decide to perform. The youngsters are still going thru experience which as we know - COMES WITH AGE!

MARCELLIUS
Hopefully will have a good campaign in Melbourne with no sign at the moment of old injuries. We will cross fingers for the next run in a few weeks.

ALMOHAD
RACING SATURDAY WEEK.
Peter is looking forward to this great horse coming back as it looks like problems have been resolved.

AMELIA PARK
THE WALSH NAME CONTINUES
Brett and Tegan told Peter last night that they are having A BOY, everyone is very excited - I THINK A FOOTBALL will be the 1st present from GRANDAD!

JACKSONS PROMOTION LUCHEON
Same Place, same time, same seat. Peter is hosting the 4th year of Managers Luncheon which he joked and said everyone wanted the same seats as previous years. This Luncheon is set to continue for some years!!!!!

OWEN TO STAY AT AMELIA PARK
Peter is chuffed that what started out as only a lend from Lou has turned into Owen - a country boy - now a permanent at Amelia Park. He has been welcomed with open arms and has fitted in with the rest of the staff very easily.

HOORAY - EXAMS ARE OVER
Leah finished her last Exam today. Peter has been told that she is now an ADULT AND FREE, now the worrying starts. He will have to keep her tied to the Farm if he doesn't want to be chasing her around the town - his words!! GO LEAH!!!!!!!

HOLIDAY AT AMELIA PARK
Peter has some friends arriving from Kuala Lumpur - Sharon and her daughter Page for approximately 10 days and we all look forward to meeting them and sharing the Farm.

Everything is great at the Farm, the Foals are a hoot to watch, when the Mares are being moved from paddocks, they just run and follow behind VERY CLOSELY. It is a joy to see.

Enjoy your weekend of Racing everyone and look forward to next weeks Report to you.

A big Happy Birthday to Mason today from everyone here. We loo forward to the Birthday Cake tomorrow Mas. Hope you get lots of presents.

How about this weird winter weather - not for the Farmers though - we feel devastated for them. The spray guns and mowers will be working flat out AGAIN.

THE TREES are magnificent, everywhere you look here there are beautiful canopies of draping branches - especially the WILLOWS - mine and Peters favourite.

Another weekend spent on the Farm, Peter and Annie took Jessica to Augusta for the Annual Annaconda Sporting Event which Jess took part in - she did the family proud.

Thats our update for this week, so enjoy your Racing everyone.

WHAT A TOP FINISH

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

MELBOURNE CUP
What a top Finish - you can't get any closer than that. I hope all Punters had a good collect as WA bet $13mil. apparently (my goodness - alot for 1 day of racing).
Come on Aussies for Next Year!!!
Amelia Park was the setting for a group of Syndicate Members who enjoyed their day with playing Tennis prior to the Race and then relaxing at the Tavern for the remainder of not only the Races but the rest of the day until ????

RACING NORTHAM
THURSDAY 3rd
CHIRON
This is the last hooray for Chiron so lets hope a good effort is put in.

SAMBAR /O'REILLY
A TOP FILLY born in New Zealand, another CHAMPION on her way.

SYNDICATE HORSES
It is getting exciting for Peter and all the Members as a few of the horses will be lining up very soon to show their talents. It will certainly be a big turnout for the start of what we all hope will be a rewarding future.

AMELIA PARK
Peter had a great Weekend at the farm with numerous friends both staying over and dropping in, it was perfect weather for entertaining.

Friday will be a full house with Peter playing Host to a group of approximately 20 Wine buffs who have come from Somalia to sample Amelia Park Wines. Sounds like it is going to be a great day for all.

THE AVIARY
Peter commented today that he has seen several types of birds being very busy coming and going from their nests. We should see new babies within the next 2-3 weeks, we are all guessing which birds hatch first. VERY EXCITING FOR US.

All busy at the Farm as per usual, I think the staff have been rocked in the last few days with the weather turning it up, great for the weeds (yuk) the weed sprayers are in high demand!

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone and same time next week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE

Hello everyone and welcome to our Report.

Firstly I apologise for not posting earlier in the week, I had Telstra and Bigpond problems, I'll say no more on that!!!

RACING SATURDAY - 9AM START

REPRISAL

FLEMINGTON SATURDAY - 2500m

THE LEXUS STAKES

HOPING TO COME HOME IN THE FIRST 5

David said that Reprisal has improved everytime on the track so should be exciting to watch over the 2500m. It is a long shot for a win but certainly suggest each way bet, it is a good field to match up against and see where its at. GOOD LUCK REPRISAL.

CHIRON

Very disappointing at Northam, Dion has said its time to move on.

AMELIA PARK

Peter enjoyed catching up with Susan on the weekend, there was the odd empty Whisky Bottle (Susan's favourite) and the lights were still on very early am, so fun was had by all.

INTERNATIONAL HOCKEY - BUSSELTON

KOOKABURRAS VERSUS PAKISTAN

Peters good friend Brent is in the team for Australia who are playing Pakistan tonight so the family are off to enjoy the game. COME ON AUSSIES!

TO CLAIRE - A BIG WARM HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU AND WELCOME TO AMELIA PARK

Sammi is thrilled that her World Travelling Companion has come to visit her for the first time here in our great South West.

THE TOWN WONT BE THE SAME!!!

After their first night of terrorising, the family will help celebrate HER BIG DAY with Dinner at world renowned Flutes Restaurant - what a night that should be!

Sammi has made up a VERY BUSY ITINERARY for them for the next week so I hope they all get ticked off.

LEAH is now at Amelia Park with head down doing as much studying as the hours in the day allow. Peter said how PROUD of her he is as coming from Kuala Lumpur 2 years ago and adapting to our culture and schooling has been a great achievement and her marks have been excellent. These Exam Results will see her go on to University and continue to strive for her goals in typical Walsh fashion.

PETER, FAMILY AND STAFF WISH YOU OUR VERY BEST LOVE AND BRIGHT LIGHTS.

A FALL AT THE TRACK

Aliese unfortunately had a major fall at Amelia Park. Peter was thankful to the Staff for the efficient way it was all handled including all safety measures. With her tough attitude we know Aliese will come thru and be back in the saddle in no time. WE ALL SEND OUR WARM GET WELL SOON WISHES.

Peter was impressed and thankful with Dion's quick response of sending down one of his Riders immediately to assist Cristy and the staff.

All else at the Farm is steady with lots of weed spraying, maintenance on all the pumps and reticulation systems in readiness for Summer - WE WOULD LIKE MORE RAIN BEFORE THEN TO FILL THE TANKS !!!!

We hope you have a great LONG WEEKEND and enjoy your RACING.

THRILLED WITH THE FOALS

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

SYDNEY / MELBOURNE TRIP
Peter returned on Saturday and reported that he had a great trip with Brian and John.
Peter was thrilled with the 5 Foals and 2 Yearlings at Coolmoore. They all look in great condition, maybe 1 looking on the weak side but still a lot of growing to do yet.

Then it was down to Euroa in Melbourne where David Hayes has just completed STATE OF THE ART Horse Training Complex - Lindsay Park Euroa.
Peter was lost for words (well not really), he said the place is unbelievable and is 2nd to none in the World - Peter has been and seen alot of Complexes in his travels. Everything there is TOP SHELF and everything has been done for the care and safety of the important HORSES. I just had a look on the Net at his property and it is well worth viewing the magnificent property.

RACING
REPRISAL
Ran a good 4th last week and all being in order should run on MELBOURNE CUP DAY in a 2800m race. BACK IT WITH CONFIDENCE. A great THRILL to have a race on the BIG DAY.

AMELIA PARK
KEEPING HIS FEET ON THE GROUND
Peter is now home for a few months so he can pack the suitcase away and relax and enjoy.

His close friend Susan is visiting on the weekend, who has just returned from Scotland after a year away so it will be nice to catch up.

Lea is studying hard, finished School next week and Peter will attend her Graduation Dinner and BE VERY PROUD. Then it is on to the EXAMS - We are all with you Lea.

Jessica is very busy preparing for School sports. Sammi is excited at having her close friend Lou Lou coming over from Hamilton Island for a great holiday together - LOOK OUT BUSSELTON.

Good Friend David Rodwell has landed for a week so Peter will catch up next week for Dinner as it has been a while since seeing him.

BUSY DAY FRIDAY ON THE FARM

THE AVIARY HOUSES NEW COUPLE

PLUM HEAD PARROTS

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News.

RACING

REPRISAL

RANDWICK SATURDAY 15TH

David Hayes and Peter are looking forward to this Top Race, and hopefully will repeat last weeks fantastic WIN.

HAVE A WAGER

GOOD LUCK!

CHIRON & TULLIUS

Everyone was disappointed with their races, maybe a another couple of tries and then look at early retirement. Seem to be lacking spirit turning towards home. Lets see what happens next!

OFF TO SYDNEY/MELBOURNE

Peter flies out today with Brian Bradley & John Ciprian and will enjoy a week of HORSES. First off to Coolmoore and Arrowfield to look at all the Foals ( hopefully the camera is working). Will finish off in Melbourne at Hayes's New Complex.

We look forward to Peters stories and photos.

AMELIA PARK

FIRST ONE HAS ARRIVED

The First CONTAINER arrived on Friday packed with FURNITURE FOR THE NEW HOME. Glenn commented that whilst helping to unload there are lots of excellent pieces so I cant wait to go exploring.

Peter gave thanks to Brett for waiting until 8pm that night for the next one to arrive. WAIT - THERES MORE!

THE AVIARY

Glenn was very excited with the arrival of a pair of PLUM HEAD PARROTS who very quickly made themselves at home. The cocks colouring is exquisite - like the colours were painted on. Their Breeding box come with them and the hen made a beeline for it when installed.

All the Birds are very busy inspecting and remodelling their Boxes for what Glenn hopes will be a rewarding Breeding Season.

SYNDICATE HORSES

Peter and Dion inspected all the Syndicate Horses at the Farm and Peter commented that they are all looking magnificent. A huge thanks goes to Wanga as he handles them each morning when feeding up. Its evident how much time he spends educating them with human contact.

Peter was very taken with Royale Harvest/Good Journey and predicts a winner as a 3 year old. I have diarised his pick!

PHIL MATERA BAGGED 4

THE LEGENDS FOOTBALL MATCH

Peter said Phil was on the phone bragging with his winning performance, Peter assured Phil that if he was playing Phil wouldn't have got a touch!!!!

It was a great match and fabulous to watch our OLD STARS including Phil, brother Peter, Woosha, Kempy, Heady to name a few. I have to say most of them still look like they could put on an Eagles Jumper. What a STAR (like his Dad)young Mainwaring is and hopefully will see him in the coming years WEARING NO. 3.

It is a PERFECT SPRING DAY so I hope it is everywhere. Enjoy and see you next week.

GRAND FINAL
Peter had a fantastic 4 days in Melbourne with Rob and Phil Matera. He said the atmosphere and the huge crowd at the Football is something to experience. The place was alive and thumping in the streets post game, even if they weren't your teams you can't help but go with the flow.
They also dined at some fantastic Restaurants and Flemington Races on Sunday was a great day.

He will now travel over to Russia probably in February. A lot of interest is also being shown from Belgium and Sweden.

CUP WINNER 2011

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

WINNER OF THE ANNUAL BUSSELTON RACING PIGEON CUP

THE SCENE WAS SET FOR A SHOWDOWN

This event is recognised in the Pigeon Racing World as a major classic event. Keen Owners of champion birds enter to win a major prize and its keenly sought after Trophy. Peter entered again this year and purchased a fine Grizzle Bird. He sat in anticipation watching the Home Loft of this finely feathered bird. The bird circled the loft 3 times before trapping perfectly to score the WIN OF THE DAY. A major Prize of $1500.00 and Cup was awarded to Peter.

The news spread quickly and on Peter's trip to China he was well received everywhere, China is very Bird Racing orientated so not only is he well known for MEAT AND WINE but now adds PIGEON RACING to his belt. I am told it was very amusing throughout their trip with Peters antics (I am sure alot of you know Peter).

REPRISAL

SECOND AT MORPHETVILLE

Peter and Trainer were pleased with this run. They are looking forward to this campaign.

FULL STABLES AGAIN

The Riders didn't have to wait long so its back in the saddle and full on. Peter took Dion out to Dinner last week to show his appreciation on the fine work he his doing with the horses and also the help he gives to the Riders here.

AMELIA PARK WINE CLUB LUNCHEON 23rd

Peter is looking forward to sharing a luncheon at Jacksons with exquisite food prepared by Neil Jackson complimented with the top Wines. I am being spoilt as Peter has invited Glenn & I as part of my Birthday Present - What to wear!!!

ANOTHER SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAY GREETING

Annie will celebrate her special day on the 22nd and we all wish her Many Happy Returns for the day - I am sure Peter will make her day special finishing with a Dinner at Jacksons. ENJOY ANNIE.

SATURDAY AT THE RACES

Peter will entertain 65 invited guests for the day. It is an Annual event that Peter puts on for all the Butchers he deals with. Promises to be a great day.

COMING TO AMELIA PARK

Peter is at it again. He advised that in the coming months work will commence on the new 1) BOWLING GREEN, 2) ARCHERY PARK.

By the finish (if ever) of Amelia Park, there will be a Team competing in all types of sporting events because I think Peter will just continue adding more and more to his Theme Park.

MASSAGE/DAY SPA

I awoke last Friday feeling the best in months. I had a Massage the previous evening and it was fantastic, Peggy really knows the right spots. I now have booked in for each fortnight.

If you are thinking of booking a Massage or any of the range they offer, at the moment it is advisable to book well in advance and preferably in the early afternoon. BELIEVE ME - IT IS WELL WORTH IT!!

We believe Wanga has been enjoying his well earned Holiday - as Wanga would. I don't think Kalgoorlie will be the same after his jaunt at the Round.

All in all a busy week again for Peter so I look forward to reporting the news to you next week.

ENJOY YOUR WEEK EVERYONE.

**I had a wonderful Birthday and Peter made it even more special. THANKYOU PETER!

WELCOME HOME

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News and Events.

WELCOME HOME PETER
It was great to see Peter and Annie arrive home safely. Peter said it was a fantastic rewarding trip. Very successful in signing Deals for the Meat Trade and also a new Chinese Partner- Mr Chen, who Peter has a long standing business and friendship with for the Amelia Park Wines.
It is mind boggling to me the amount of Container Loads of Meat and Wine that will be exported.

Everyone on the trip had a fabulous holiday and there were some great stories of their adventures.

I believe Jessica was really pleased to see Mum home (a few birthday presents to unwrap).

BOULDER CUP
AMELIAS DANCER - 4TH
Peter was very pleased with Dancers run, right up there until just dropping off at the finish. It seems the 1600 is more suited so Dancer is coming home for a well earned rest for about 6 weeks. Well done and I will enjoy having a chat when home at the Farm.

AMELIA PARK WINES - ROYAL SHOW JUDGING
GOLD, SILVER, BRONZE
THE AWARDS KEEP COMING
Peter is thrilled with Jeremy's exceptional efforts in again bringing home Winners. It has certainly been a Wonderful Year for Amelia Park Wines.

WORLD AWARDS IN LONDON
Amelia Park Wines was in the final 8 for the Judging which China took the GOLD.
Peter absolutely chuffed with their achievement in World Judging.

AMELIA PARK
The heat is off at the Stables for only a short while, so it gives the Staff time to spend educating the foals and getting prepared for the next onslaught.

THE AVIARY
Glenn received some wonderful compliments from a team of Vets carrying out Tests on the birds. They were full of praise to Peter on building such World Class Enclosures and the tranquil garden setting surrounds. Glenn said they commented that they are the best both had seen and it is a credit to both Peter and Glenn for showing such care of these beautiful Birds.

FLY IN FLY OUT
Peter entertained Business Clients from Korea. They flew in yesterday, had Dinner with Peter, stayed in the Guest House overnight and left to fly home today. They remarked to Peter that they have never stayed on a FARM LIKE THIS BEFORE.

AND LASTLY ----

BIRTHDAY GREETINGS - TO ME.

Enjoy this lovely weather and look forward to reporting next week.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSICA

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks update.

As you know Peter is still away in China so I will keep this report brief and next week update everyone on all the happenings from Peter.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESSICA - ENJOY YOUR DAY
Everyone at Amelia Park wish every happiness to this lovely girl who is growing up VERY FAST. 11 TODAY!!!
Remember back to how exciting it was at THAT AGE. I would think a lot of presents coming her way (especially from China), very exciting for her.

SYNDICATE HORSE NAMING
We have been informed of the Names chosen for the Horses and alot of the Members have been visiting them at Amelia Park as they get ready for Pre-Training for their future racing for the Syndicate. I think a Horse Naming Celebration get together is a great idea.

September 23rd - FULL HOUSE
Everyone in the Wine Club are looking forward to Wining and Dining at Jacksons, it will be a delectable meal with top class Wines.

We all await Peters return, I know he will be chuffed with the progress of THE BIG HOUSE, it is certainly something special.

CHINA - HERE WE COME

Welcome everyone, hope you enjoyed your weekend.

CHINA TODAY

Peter flies out today for a very busy excursion in China. I am sure it will be a rewarding trip with the signing of the WINE DEAL which we wish him every success with.
He will be able to celebrate with the rest of the crew that are also going to China so all in all the best time will be had.

TENNIS REUNION
Peter had a great day, firstly hosting the Race Day for 20 odd past Tennis Club Members and some friends, and then as they say "What happens in Perth - stays in Perth".
Obviously some of the morning heads weren't functioning properly as a few items were left in the Hotel rooms, funny how it seems to happen when the woman isn't there!!!!!

RACING
Dion has been spending a busy time at the Farm with Pre-Training so it won't be long before we see some action happening.

AMELIA PARK
I have to share my mornings with you and tell you that as well as living at this beautiful place, I enjoy the mornings the most where I sit on my veranda and watch the horses coming back from the track where they are let out into the Front Paddocks to let off steam. Their antics and running are just the best to watch, its a great start to the day.

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will report to you next week.

A Star for the future!!

TENNIS REUNION
Peter has organised his mates for a 20 Year TENNIS REUNION. They will start the day at the Races and then onto ?????????????? Peter is really looking forward to catching up and swapping lots of stories from the great Nights they had, most of them when Peter was living at Broadwater Resort. Glenn usually had to have the next morning off - Funny how a game of Tennis and a steak can roll into the next morning. It will be interesting to see this nights outcome. A slow drive home I would imagine!!!

WHAT A FEAST

Hello everyone and welcome to our News Update.

HOW MUCH CAN YOU EAT
Our Wonderful Boss Peter took his staff and some friends (25 in total) to a Chinese Banquet this week.
He had pre ordered so as soon as seated - THE FOOD STARTED ARRIVING.
I lost count of the dishes that were presented ( I think I missed a few courses as couldn't keep up. It was all superbly presented and the staff very efficient and obliging. We again thank Peter for his generosity.
The Cellar Door was opened after Dinner and don't know the time it was closed!!!

NO MORE POTHOLES
At last our gravel road has been repaired by the Shire. It has been weeks and we have been contending with major potholes. This part of the road is public and we were always waiting for someone to come to grief, especially at night when it is deathly dark. The riders have also been very careful when bringing the horses to and from the track along this part of the road as they get spooked easily. We hope no more potholes for a while.

AMELIAS DANCER
BELMONT SATURDAY
Dancer has been freshened up and will run the 1600m which they feel is better suited to the Miler. Good Luck to all.

AMELIA PARK
Peter will again be in the dungarees tomorrow and doing the Fertilising shift. All the dogs on the farm are having a ball following behind, I think Peter must put a little extra there for them.

Saturday Peter is off to Perth to help Vangie Kailis celebrate her 50th Birthday at their Restaurant, Peter is really looking forward to the night. They may also have a double celebration if Dancer comes over the line.

Next week will see a busy schedule for Peter hosting Clients arriving from Russia and Germany for a few days.
After they leave Peter will fly down to Esperance to catch up with more clients, HE MAKES ME GIDDY!

ITALIAN COOKING by DION
Peter will report to me on the Dinner that Dion is preparing tonight at the Guest House. I can then promote his skills to you next week.

Enjoy your week everyone and happy racing.

THE FEEL OF SPRING IS IN THE AIR

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

I do apologise for being late, COMPUTERS!!!!! They are a wonderful thing - but SOMETIMES! and it can't be me!!!!

BEAUTIFUL SUNNY DAYS
These last few days have been absolutely perfect - a bit chilly in the mornings mind you but it really feels like Spring. I do hope though that there is still some rain about.

BIRTHDAY BEEN AND GONE
All the celebrations are over so its back to work for all the horses, the stables are overflowing and the track is being worked overtime. A lot of young ones are being educated which is great to watch the staff handling them.

AMELIA PARK WINES
RATED THE HIGHEST WITH 5 STARS
Peter is thrilled that JAMES HALLIDAY has rated Amelia Park Wines overall with 5 STARS. What a fantastic accolade and we congratulate Peter and Jeremy.

Congratulations
To the New Owners of RED TIME RUNNER having a WIN in Broome, what a thrill for them.

AMELIA PARK
Peter had a great night hosting Dinner for Percy who arrived from Singapore with some friends. Percy is a part Owner with Peter in Amelias Dancer and also a part of the Syndicate. A juicy steak and several fine Reds at the Cellar created an enjoyable night.

Peter is enjoying a few weekends at the Farm before he jets off again. He is out of the office chair and out and about doing chores which he then needs a visit to Peggy for a Massage then back into it. He says by being around he is also keeping his eye on what goes on - WE SAY - TIME TO JET OFF - BEEN HOME LONG ENOUGH!!!!

STAFF DINNER
Peter must be pretty happy with his Staff as he is treating all to a Chinese Banquet next week which we are looking forward to and its good to spend social time together. I hope he has put the PEKING DUCK on his order.

I AM ENVIOUS AGAIN
Peter has booked his Ticket to Melbourne for THE GRAND FINAL. He has been invited by his great friend Rob Wiley as a guest at the Life Members Box and also to the pre Luncheon. I have checked the diary and advised Peter that I am available!!

Well everyone I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and look forward to posting next weeks upcoming news.

A BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO 'HORSES'

Welcome everyone, hope your week was enjoyable and make the following report.

A GOOD SIGN

SECRET VAULT had a beautiful Foal on the HORSES BIRTHDAY, so hopefully this colt will be a future Winner.

Still quiet for these winter months for RACING.

COME ON SPRINGTIME!

AMELIAS DANCER should be running next week and will keep you posted. Dancer will be put back into the 1600-1800m races as just not getting there with the longer distances.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE

Adrian is sending through some great reports and I look forward to when they hit the track for their future racing.

SOLD OUT

I waited to long - THE AMELIA PARK WINE CLUB LUNCHEON AT JACKSONS was posted last week and has already SOLD OUT. Peter was delighted with such quick enthusiasm.

He advised that there will be Tastings of the New Wine Releases in October to be held at Amelia Park and will advise dates when organised.

MORE SEVERE WINDS

Amelia Park is losing trees by the day. A large one went over and took our black beauty horse statue with it. She is back on display with a bit of bruising to the head. Shame we couldn't save the tree.

Peter was commenting on how upsetting it is to plant the trees, nurture them, watch them grow and then GONE. He dreads the drive home each night to what damage may await at the farm. BUT he does enjoy seeing the flowing CREEK. I had to get it in!!!!

DINNER PARTY

Peter very much enjoyed hosting Dinner for Louis from Arrowfield Stud in the Hunter Valley. His lights were still on late in the night, Horses, Horses and more Horse stories were swapped, a great night had.

Thats all the current news so enjoy your week and look forward to reporting next week.

ANOTHER TREE HITS THE DECK

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks WET report.

Awoke this morning to yet another large tree falling. If this continues we won't have any big shady trees left for Summer. More cleaning up and repairing fences. The staff won't be happy.
The Shire are still trying to clear all the debris from the last storm, the Farm still has large trees that have fallen thru horse fences that need to be cleared away and fences repaired, the staff have to keep moving the horses around as those paddocks can't be used.

AMELIAS DANCER
3RD AT BELMONT 16TH
I believe all were quite happy with Dancers run after coming back from an injury. I will keep you posted with the next run.

KUALA LUMPUR
Peter flew out on the weekend for some business to attend to and should be returning later this week. I didn't get a chance to catch up so will wait and get the full report for next week.

The Matera family have left and apparently had a very enjoyable time at the farm. Look forward to seeing them again.

SYNDICATE III
We are all trying to guess which Names the Horses have been allotted, we hope of course that they are the ones we all named, should hear soon.

EAGLES HEART STOPPER WIN
The game is never over until the siren goes. That certainly was true at the Derby!!

All in all a quiet week so we will batten down as more storms and heavy rain are predicted later this week.

Snuggle up and enjoy your week and look forward to next weeks report.

PETER WON THE BET

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

THE CREEK IS RUNNING
Its about time - usually starts running in June so that is our indication how far behind we are.
I truly thought I had won the bet with Peter, I think he went home earlier than usual!!!!

RACING SATURDAY
BELMONT 23RD
AMELIAS DANCER
Glad to see Dancer back on the track, pulled a muscle last run but has recovered so hopefully will get through unscathed.

GOLF DRIVING RANGE
It is certainly getting a workout since Phil Matera has been staying with us. Also getting a good workout is Peter, burning the candle at both ends with Phil each night at the Wine Cellar. I am keeping a close eye on the next couple of nights, may have to put the Banned Sign on the Cellar Door.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE III
It is great news to see Adrian on board again keeping the Owners informed of the all the goings on with the Syndicate horses, he does a great job.

AMELIA PARK FARM
Can't believe everyone still clearing up and cutting up fallen trees, burning off and generally getting the farm back to its normally beautiful state.

Well the end of another week looming so enjoy and look forward to next week.

ALL QUIET AND COLD ON THE HOMEFRONT

Welcome to this weeks update.

HOW COLD HAS IT BEEN!
Its amazing as you get older how much more warm clothes, beanies, scarves you need when the cold weather comes in. I always think of the animals out there facing it while we are in our warm homes - so on with another scarf!!!

QUIET ON THE TRACK
All the horses are either resting or in training at the moment so I will keep you updated next week.

QUIET ON THE FARM
Peter is enjoying a relaxing time at home at the moment - I haven't heard of the next sojourn yet!

GUEST HOUSE
We have quite a few guests coming and going during these School holidays. At the moment Wes Cameron has been enjoying his break. Next week Phil Matera will be taking over so Peter is looking forward to catching up.

SUNDAY LUNCH
Glenn and I finally caught up with Peter and Annie on Sunday and spent a leisurely Lunch at Wise Winery in Dunsborough. It is located on a hill so you overlook the Bay - very picturesque. We then finished off at Eagle Bay Brewery for coffee and that also was enjoyable. We couldn't believe the amount of people at both venues at this time of the year - WE ARE CERTAINLY LUCKY WE LIVE IN THIS PART OF THE SOUTH WEST.

Enjoy your week and HAPPY RACING EVERYONE.

REGARDS

Peter advised that all Names are being sent in this week so within the next 2 weeks we will have all the Syndicate Horses Named. Looking forward to see what names get selected. We will keep you updated.

AMELIA PARK
You can't believe the mess that has been cleared and still the cleaning up continues. We are hoping thats the end of the Storms this season.

THE BIG HOUSE
The work on the House is progressing even more than Peter thought. He is very excited that it may be finished mid next year, he is itching to fill it with all his beautiful funiture and fittings. We also can't wait!!

I am not mentioning the CREEK this week!

I hope everyone enjoys their Racing this week and look forward to reporting next time.

TORNADO STRIKES AGAIN AT AMELIA PARK

Hello everyone, welcome to our disaster area.

AMELIA PARK COPS IT AGAINThere must be something about the Farm, what a disaster that ripped through during the week. We are so lucky that the horses are all ok. Large trees just snapping and falling, the paddock fences, the roads, POWERLESS FOR 2 DAYS - what a nightmare. All hands on deck to clear the large trunks and debris. Brett was on the main road at 4.30am chainsawing and clearing the road for all the workers coming thru.
AND THEN THERE IS THE CLEARING OF ALL THE SMALLER BRANCHES AND LEAVES which get stuck in fences, gardens, rooves, AND ALL OVER THE NORMALLY PRISTINE MANICURED GROUNDS. Oh well - as we say - NO ONE OR ANIMAL WAS INJURED!!
Peter gives full credit and thanks to all the staff for the handling of the horses during this horrid time.

RACING AT BELMONT
SATURDAY 2ND - RACE 5 AT 2.35PM
AMELIAS DANCER

Peter is really looking forward to another 1600m good performance. I will certainly be having a $ or 2. Good luck Dancer.

Peter has returned from his work trip to Korea and was very pleased with his heavy workload. I think he is home for just a little while before jetting off again.
Its a race between him and myself to see who is the first to REPORT the CREEK FULLY RUNNING. Its nearly there!

I do apologise for the late report but we were without Power both at home and work, so unfortunately its is back on so BACK TO WORK.

Have a great weekend and see you here next week.

CELEBRATIONS AT THE FARM

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

IT'S AMELIA TIME FOR RACING

AMELIAS DANCER WILL RETURN NEXT WEEK and looking forward to another great run.
AMELIAS TIGER, AMELIAS MOMENT, AMELIAS DELIGHT will all be in the running in the next few weeks, will keep you posted.

GONE AGAIN

Peter left in the early hours of Monday to fly to KOREA on business for the week.

EAGLES GREAT WIN
Peter had a great day on Sunday being entertained by the Eagles Management and Barry thoroughly enjoyed it all - as you would!!! Lets hope they continue with their good form!

CELEBRATIONS
It was a twofold event at the Farm on Saturday.
Brett enjoyed a gathering for his Birthday which also included the Henchie Family who celebrated the birth of RYAN & GEMMA'S NEW SON - ANDRE - A HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. I believe a great day and evening was had when I saw the Cleaners there on Sunday - I wont say who they were!!!!!!!!!

BACK TO WORK
We welcomed Tegan back to work today after spending 2 weeks in Bali. I haven't heard the goss yet as now Kristy in on leave Tegan is flat strap at the Stables. I think a glass of champers this week to swap all our news.
I forgot to mention my great girlie Melbourne Holiday - what a hoot!!!!
As we say - 'What happens in Bali & Melbourne - stays in Bali & Melbourne'.

STILL WAITING
All that know the Farm are asking if the CREEK IS RUNNING - Sadly NOT YET, a few puddles here and there, the first to spy it gets the prize!!!!!!!

BLACK SWANS
We are chuffed that 7 of our baby Swans have now found a niche at the Lake and wander around feeely. It will be fantastic if they make the Farm their home.
Glenn is also getting excited as quite a few of the birds are making their nests ready and 1 pair of the Eclectus Parrots have mated and the female is sitting, so here's hoping for babies. Can't wait to tell Peter!

Thats all the current news at AMELIA PARK so look forward to next week and reporting to you all.

kind regards

DANCED HOME

Greetings everyone and welcome to our News and Events.

AMELIAS DANCER - F I R S T
SAT 11/6

What a FANTASTIC RUN, congratulations must go to Jason & Lou on a great race plan. To watch the race was joy and Dancer certainly danced on home. MORE TO COME!

BELMONT 8/6
BOTH OUTSPOKEN LADY & AMELIAS MOMENT were very disappointing. Still trying to work that out as they should have had a better result.

RACING BELMONT WEDNESDAY 15/6
AMELIAS DELIGHT - RACE 3
Peter is looking forward to some results from this horse.
AMELIA TIGER - RACE 5
Running reasonably well, gradually increasing over the distance.

TIME OUT ON THE WEEKEND
Peter spent a very relaxing weekend after arriving home from Singapore and then straight into entertaining for the rest of the week. The doors were all locked so he couldn't escape.
Another busy week has started and then he is off to the Eagles Match as a Special Guest and he is taking lucky Barry (his Driver) with him who is a diehard supporter, then flys out to Korea and Indonesia on business. He will enjoy the warmth away I'm sure.

DOWNPOUR
We certainly got what we wished for last night with receiving a huge downpour. Unfortunately we also got the severe winds so it is a big clean up with fallen trees, branches, and OH THOSE LEAVES. WE ARE EAGERLY WAITING AND WATCHING FOR THE RIVER TO START RUNNING!!

STABLES
Standing on my verandah I really feel for the Riders (and Horses)as I watch them starting out in the dark cold windy mornings. They are a truly dedicated bunch (and YOUNG).

HOLIDAYS
Our Stable Manager - Kristy leaves this weekend for a well earned rest for 2 weeks, jetting off to Phuket so she is making us very aware of what attire has been packed for this trip (bathers etc) lucky thing. ENJOY YOUR BREAK.

RETURN FROM CHINA & BALI
Sammy returns today from doing errands for Peter in China and Bali with great results. Tegan also returns today from Bali - can't wait to hear their stories!!!

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE NO 3
All the horses are being educated and they are all coming along nicely according to Dion who spends a great deal of time of them. They are a hoot to watch in the paddocks when frolicing about.

BIRTHDAY WISHES
BRETT WALSH

We all look forward to having a Birthday Cheer drink with Brett on Friday and hope he enjoys his weekend of celebrating.

That wraps the news for this week and look forward to advising updates next week.

Regards to all

Shelley ( GOOD LUCK MIKE! )
