IT WAS A WINNING WEEKEND

Hello all readers and welcome to this weeks Update.

ANNUAL WALSH MANAGEMENT WEEKEND

FRIDAY NIGHT AT JACKSONS
Peter reported that everything was very special, Neil Jackson did a 100% effort, as always, and Management, Family and Friends were treated to THE VERY BEST.
The reports the next day were the night for some followed into the next morning, with some very sore heads.

SATURDAY
ASCOT RACE DAY
What a wonderful day it was!
Peter and Greg thanked Management and said this day was for them.  All the ladies looked beautiful and I have to say the men looked very dapper.
The food and service were excellent AGAIN, it was great to catch up with everyone that with some you dont see from year to year.
Peter welcomed 2 new guests - Grandson Costa, I think most of the ladies had a cuddle.  Also Jessica, who seems to have grown up all of a sudden.  Jessica looked lovely and enjoyed watching the races - I think she won a few as well - probably more than most of us on the day.
WANGA  was certainly missed but he now has competition as SCOTT from Walsh's picked up most of the prizes.  It was great to see Sue (a stalwart with Walsh's) get the prize of the day - a very large $ Gift Certificate for Jacksons Restaurant.

The Coolmoore Management - Peter, Shane and Marty thoroughly enjoyed the whole weekend.
Peter said the Cellar's Top Shelf Wines were mostly consumed on Friday night at Amelia Park, they are Irish so they know and enjoy THE BEST.  I think the next few days Peter will be able to re-coup some lost hours.

AMELIAS DANCER AND REPRISAL
They are both back in work which is great news for the coming months ahead.

A quiet week this week before Peter flys to Sydney early next week.

I look forward to reporting to you then and in the meantime have a great weekend everyone.

regards
Shelley

ANNUAL V & V WALSH RACE DAY

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News.

THE WEEKEND BEGINS:

JACKSONS FRIDAY NIGHT
Peter and Greg host Management a fantastic night at Jacksons Restaurant with 1st class, mouth watering delicacies prepared by Neil Jackson.  It is a huge night but I do think a few now get to bed a bit earlier than in past years as the next day is the Races.

ASCOT RACES SAT 28TH APRIL
ANNUAL MANAGEMENT & SPONSORSHIP DAY
This Annual event is a highlight of the year wherein a lot of guests get to really enjoy the very best there is to offer.  The Raffle draws will certainly be different this year, WANGA won't be there to win every prize so someone else will get a turn.  Looking forward to a WONDERFUL DAY.

We all wish Wanga the very best, I believe he comes out of hospital today so it will be a gruelling 6 weeks on crutches, so everyone LOOK OUT - he won't be too happy.  i must get the RIGHT STORY from you Wanga - some hint of a Shark/Dolphin!!!!

EMILY WILEY'S WEDDING
Peter said he immensely enjoyed the celebration of Emily's Wedding Day.  The Bride looked stunning and Rob was beaming with pride.  Peter had a great time catching up with some of the boys.  I think he was a bit quiet on Sunday.

VISIT FROM COOLMOORE
Peter is looking forward to showing Amelia Park to Peter and Shane from Coolmoore.  It is their first visit here so all is ready for them as well as the top shelf Reds at the Cellar together with a juicy Steak will make  Thursday night LARGE.

STABLES
A number of new kids on the block that have gone into Pre-Training so hopefully in the next 3 weeks or so we will see some at the Track - we can't wait.

PADDOCKS
Still waiting for the Rains so the Paddocks can be sowed, they thought last week but the weather has tricked us again.

We hope you enjoy your Weekend - as we will!

CANT STAY HOME

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News Update.

OFF AGAIN

Peter did arrive home but will fly out again tomorrow for Melbourne (he must have a RESERVED seat!!) so luckily I did catch up with him today for some news. He is only away for a few days on business.

SYDNEY EASTER SALES

Peter spent a great couple of days in the company of Brian Bradly and John Ciprian (funny he always has long days/nights when away with these 2 great friends.

They were pleased to sell ENCOSTA DELAGO/MAROONED LADY for $375,000 and also retained a share so with Chris Wallace as the Trainer they are looking forward to a great career. It is also a great boost for the money that is being injected into the Sydney Racing Fraternity.

WEDDING BELLS

Peter is looking forward to the Wedding of Emily - Rob Wiley's Daughter, this weekend and said it should be a fantastic event and will enjoy catching up with the boys.

GET WELL WISHES

Unfortunately WANGA had a nasty accident and will be laid up for quite some time with a broken pelvis. It is certainly a lot quieter at the farm, we are all missing his cheeky face and quick wit.

WE ALL SEND OUR VERY BEST WISHES FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY

AMELIA PARK

TO MUCH FOR 1

Peter has taken some pressure off Christy and divided the workload. Owen will now be in charge of the Racing and Christy will handle the paddocks and also the Breeding Horses. It is working well.

HORSES RESTING

The horses are all very restful at the moment and will get in added bonus by the paddocks being fertilised and sowed beginning this week to co-incide with the first rains - yes yes yes!!!!

1 HORSE THAT IS STANDING OUT IS - SONGBIRD - Peter and Staff are very confident this horse will perform well by its efforts at the Farm.

MASSAGE & DAY SPA

We can't say enough about Vicki and her great Massages. Her workload has increased twofold since advising current and new Clients that she is available 7 days a week.

MAKE THE CALL AND FEEL REJUVENATED.

"THE" HOUSE

Is coming along in leaps and bounds and is looking magnificent. Not to long away now.

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY MESSAGE
My apologies to GLENN - the Staff sent you Happy Birthday Greetings for your 60th on the 9th April. He did say people tend to forget you when you hit 60. So sorry Glenn.

I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful weather while it lasts and look forward to sending our report next week.
