QUIET WEEK OF RACING

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News update from Amelia Park.

RACING:
MADAME DE AMELIA
BAD NEWS AT LAST WEEKS RACE
Madame was found to be bleeding so she has come home for rehabilitation and will probably be out  for about 4 months.

SONGBURG
NIGHTMARE CAMPAIGN
A disastrous end to a shocking campaign, Songburg has torn ligaments and will also be out for about 4 months.  Peter still believes there is something more to give so the waiting game begins.

So after that bad news, Peter will fly to Brisbane on the 3rd June for the Yearling Sales to look for some future Champions, KEEP THE NEW BLOOD COMING.
SYNDICATE HORSES
Owners would have received their Updates from Dion, so most are home at Amelia Park either Agisting or Recuperating from surgery.  Test Flight and Lightning Burst are in training at the moment and everyone looking forward to their trials in the not to distant future.

ESPERANCE
Peter and Brett are off on Thursday for a few days to visit with some of the Lamb producers and its a good time for Peter to catch up for a few Dinners.

Peter had a busy week  and finished off the at the Eagles Match, he did do a lot of cheering he said and got us over the line.

All work no play this week at Walsh's so he looks forward to a group of friends coming to stay for the weekend with no doubt one of his fabulous Dinner Parties.

The Stables are bursting at the moment and the staff are 100% flat out riding.

LOTS OF TRAVEL
Peter was telling me his travel diary for the next couple of months.  The suitcases wont have time for an airing by the sounds of it, China, Bali, Brisbane, China again etc.

Enjoy your weekend everyone and until next week - enjoy the sunshine and even more the beautiful rain.

Shelley

COLD MORNINGS, BEAUTIFUL DAYS

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

RACING:

BELMONT 15/5

SONGBURG
RACE 6
Hopefully Songburg will make a good showing in this campaign,  didnt perform the best last time round.
Jason Brown is riding so Peter will look for a favourable result.

MADAME DE AMELIA
RACE 7
Again Jason Brown is on Madame, has been struggling but forever hopeful.

Other than those 2 races it is a quiet week in Racing.

AMELIA PARK
Not so for Peter this week.
Thursday -  Andy from Darley Stables and Brian Bradley will be at the Farm, big discussions on choosing Stallions for Breeding etc.

Also coming is Phil Matera and Michael Braun.  They are coming to a Special Golf Day which has been organised by Peter Cody.  The aim is to raise money for a young fellow who is in a Coma after a skating accident and it will be months and months of hospitalisation.
Peter said it is a credit to Peter Cody and also thanks Phil & Michael for attending.

Friday - Peter is attending the Eagles game and has been asked into the Chairmans Lounge.
I hope he barracks loud enough so our boys bring home a win.

Then its off again early next week to Esperance for a few days to catch up with Clients.

Amelia Park is stunning at the moment, the horses are having a ball in this gorgeous sunshine.

Unfortunately its that time of the year when alot of the trees shed their leaves - I think you have heard about these leaves before!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone and see you here next week.

DRENCHED

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

BELMONT 4/5
AMELIAS DANCER
DREAM MERGER

Very disappointed!!!!
Dion had them both cherry ripe for their races but unfortunately both were carved up.

A big disappointment AND HARD TO TAKE  for not only Peter but also the Owners and Dion.

They say  "THATS RACING"     BUT THE LUCK HAS GOT TO CHANGE.

A quiet week of Racing ahead but then right back into it!!

PHOTO SHOOT
Peter has been entertaining his Interior Designer and the Photographer who is doing a spread on Peters Home for a Magazine.  They had a beautiful Dinner Party and then entertained by a Square Dancing Group.  Peter said his party were up on the dance floor in the swing of things.  Great night was had.

AMELIA PARK WINE CLUB LUNCHEON AT JACKSONS
Danielle reported that after only 2 days the Luncheon was fully booked out.  Peter was thrilled and sorry for all the people contacting him for tickets.  Its a great day!!!

BUSY WEEK
Peter rattled off all his engagements for this coming week - he makes me tired!!!
Andy from Darley Stables, NSW coming over to discuss horses, Phil Matera coming down, also Brian Bradley for more horse discussions on Breeding,  Box at the Football, Dinner with the family at his favourite Restaurant in 'the south' - Newtown House. WHAT A WEEK

WHAT A DRENCHING
Within a day the Dams are almost full, the creek is starting to run - oh but those leaves!!!!

Enjoy your weekend and look forward to reporting next week.
