He did celebrate his 80th Birthday with a wonderful Luncheon at the Tavern some 7 years ago.
He also didn't miss any Social Gatherings at the Farm (there have been numerous), he especially enjoyed the Annual NIGHT UNDER THE STARS.

Peter will arrive back from Sydney today and excited that he will move straight into his NEW HOME.  It does look unbelievable and hopefully will get to have a peek soon.

PETER WE ALL WISH YOU EVERY HAPPINESS
IN YOUR MANSION

8 YEARS IN THE MAKING
It has been a long road since the days when Peter would pace out and show us where his home was going to be built,  can't believe it has finally finished and Peter can now RELAX AND ENJOY.

Peter gives 100% credit and thanks to his Builder - Noel on doing a fantastic job.  I think his car will continue to drive to the Farm every day after the job is complete.
Peter also gives a huge thankyou to all the Local Trades people that have carried out such professional workmanship.

FORMAL FAMILY DINNER
Peter has invited his Family for a Welcome Dinner on the weekend to help in the celebrations.
His very good friend David Rodwell and Rita have been invited as they are visiting from Overseas.
It will certainly be a Special Affair.

AMELIA PARK WINE LUNCHEON
AT JACKSONS
Another great day was had by the large crowd at this quality Restaurant.  The food was exquisite, prepared by Neil Jackson, you can only try and imagine what work goes into creating  his delicacies which were  accompanied by Amelia Park Wines.
It really is a special treat when dining at JACKSONS.

AMELIA PARK
UNDER THE STARS
Will again be in March wherein Peter puts on a fantastic night with live music.  I will keep you informed as the months go by.

MARK WILSON TURNS 60
Peters very close friend and partner in thoroughbreds invited Peter to his celebration day at the Brewery.  It was a beautiful setting and Peter commented that the food was outstanding and a great day was had.  I don't think he really felt like flying out to Sydney.

AMELIA PARK
Peter said all the horses are well into their pre-training programs and some will start racing in about 4 weeks.

Enjoy your week and this lovely rain and look forward to reporting next week.

Peter reported that after seeing Songburg he is so excited for its upcoming campaign.  He has never seen this horse look so magnificent and is very confident that Songburg will triumph.

The Stables are reporting that they are extremely busy getting the horses to the track, I believe a 4.30am start from now on - You will certainly beat the Sun.   I don't envy you at all!!!

Lucky the trip is short as he is very busy getting all those final touches done to the House.

EXAMS, EXAMS
Samantha and Lea will be jumping for joy after their University Exam's finish in the next week.
It will be time for some relaxation at the farm for them.  We hope you both succeed.

PERTH SURVIVED - ASCOT RACE DAY
It was a very long day by the time Arthur (Limo) made his last drop off on Saturday night.  I don't know how many of them fell out!!  A great day was had apparently!!!

SYDNEY BOYS VISIT TO AMELIA PARK
Peter really enjoyed catching up with Percy, Graham and Jim who made a great effort and came over and stayed a few days.  The camera was worked full time as they looked over the Horses.  They have a vested interest in quiet a number of horses with Peter and the Syndicate.

I THINK SUNDAY IS THE DAY
The cars will be making quite a few trips back and forth on Sunday to the NEW HOUSE.
HOW EXCITING - WE SINCERELY HOPE ALL GOES TO PLAN AND YOU ENJOY YOUR FIRST NIGHT AND WAKING UP TO A BEAUTIFUL OUTLOOK OVER THE DAM.

Enjoy the rest of the week everyone and look forward to reporting next week.

A GREAT 3RD AT NORTHAM CUP

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

AMELIAS DANCER
3RD AT NORTHAM CUP
Peter was very happy with Dancer's run.  It did not suit him at all the way that it was raced but Jason did a fantastic job and bought him home finishing only 1 length away from the Winner.  Well done Jason, only you could have rode that race on Dancer.

PREPARING FOR ASCOT GOLD CUP - 10TH NOVEMBER
Dion will monitor Dancer's races, he is a great horse and had a fantastic career todate so hopefully he will be a goer for the Gold Cup.
Peter is taking the Limo for its yearly sojourn with Barry at the helm, I feel for him as it will be a long day with passengers Walshy, Wanga, Noel & Adrian.

MAKE YOUR MOVE
Peter  will have a meeting with Dion to map out its ongoing program.

UPDATE THIS WEEKS NEWS

Hi folks, I have actually just heard from Peter so will continue with his News.  He is still recovering from his illness which I think is taking its toll - but he is a soldier!

SYDNEY
Peter, Brian and John had a great couple of days at both Arrowfield and Coolmore.  They were treated like KINGS Peter said and were very impressed with the magnificent Breeding eg. High Chapparell, Fastnet Rock, Duke of Marmalade to name a few.

They then visited with Chris Waller who is training 2 of their Horses.  Again they were impressed with him and his set up.  Peter is looking forward to a long association with Chris.
The topic of conversation for the trip obviously was HORSES and Peter said you would swear they were all EXPERTS- it must have been humorous to have listened in, especially after their many wines!!!

AMELIAS DANCER
NORTHAM CUP CONTENDER
Peter said Dancer is in excellent condition and looking forward to that race.

RIO MOONLIGHT
Peter did say the race was disappointing and will probably bring the horse home for a while and maybe try in Bunbury - wait and see!!

THE HOUSE
Its really getting close, the end of next month and the good thing is Peter won't have far to move his gear.

GUESTS
Peter is looking forward to having Peter and Neville from Esperance stay at the Farm.  They are both friends and Business clients, supplying the Abs with 50,000 lambs per annum.  So it will be a nice change for them to come here and visit.

M0NDAY MORE GUESTS
More clients will arrive from Saudi Arabia to stay on Monday and Tuesday.

Unfortunately Peter is still suffering from his illness so I hope he gets a lot better real soon.

GREG WALSH NOW DOING A PETER WASLH!
Peter's brother and business partner Greg has just arrived home from Europe after a lengthy stay and informed Peter that he is off again soon to Mauritius.    Peter said the tables have turned and he will now hold the fort at work!!!  We all think it is very amusing!

Look forward to next week folks!

OUT OF SICK BAY

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

SYDNEY - RETRY VISIT
Peter finally got over his hellish time of being sick and flew to Sydney on Sunday.  Unfortunately I haven't caught up with Peter yet but I am sure he would have been chuffed with the visit to Coolmore and seeing some of the Foals.

I will catch up with Peter and get a full report on his trip and other News for this following weeks Report.

RIO MOONLIGHT
SYNDICATE HORSE
Ran on Wednesday but wasn't in the finish.  More news to follow on decision for this horse.

All is well at Amelia Park, lots of spraying, weeding (urggghhh), fertilising, getting all the reticulation in readiness for the Summer, and the list goes on.  But the Farm is looking so picturesque.  The paddocks and lush and the horses are in heaven!  The trees are getting their new growth (the Weeping Willows are the best)!!! So all in all - its just the best.

Have a great weekend and look forward to full report next week.

2 NEW FOALS AT COOLMORE

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

TRIP TO COOLMORE
Peter will try again and leave this weekend to fly to Coolmore to inspect his Mares and the 2 newcomers
out of High Chapparell and Duke of Marmalade.  Next week 2 more are due to foal from Fastnet Rock.  It's exciting to see new life coming from Good Stock.

AMELIAS DANCER - BLOSSOMING
At home at the moment and has been having a ball, he is in excellent condition and raring to get back on the track.  Dion will take him back to Perth to prepare him for the Northam Cup at the end of the month.

SYNDICATE HORSES

MAKE YOUR MOVE
Dion reported that at this stage there are no suitable races so has sent him home on a big high and will enjoy being back in the paddock for a few weeks, well deserved.

RIO MOONLIGHT
The report on Rio was good, a big improvement on its first run.  Rio is in good nick and will nominate for the next week or so and see what length race would be the best option.

RUBUACORI
Having a big spell, up to its knees in feed and looking good.

PRANKSTER PETER
For people that know Peter will appreciate his antics.  On the weekend of AFL Grand Final Day when Rob Wiley, Phil Matera and families were at the Farm, Peter had told all the children that there was a bomb scare announcement for Amelia Park and said they must all be out of the house at 1pm.  The kids made sure they were outside and sure enough at 1pm a plane circled and then swooped on them several times sending them screaming and running in all directions whilst Peter was chuckling inside.  His good friend John the Pilot was also chuckling.

WHAT IS THE OLD SAYING  "IT COMES BACK TO BITE YOU"

Sure enough after that weekend Peter came down with the FLU!!!!!  and went on to SHARE IT WITH ANNIE!!!

I can't rave enough about the Farm, it is looking fantastic especially watching the horses having a wow of a time in the lush paddocks - SPRING IS THE BEST!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone

KALGOORLIE ON ALERT
They have heard that Peter and Wanga will be visiting their town on the weekend to watch AMELIAS DANCER hopefully secure another CUP.  Whichever way the race goes Dancer will be in there trying with the best of them.
Being on WORKERS COMP seems to be the way to go as Wanga can come and go and keep Peter company. SO WATCH OUT KALGOORLIE.

CELEBRATION DINNER
Peter is taking staff out for Dinner on Wednesday to celebrate Amelias Dancer's winning the Coolgardie Cup.  Peter has stipulated it will be an early night as work the next day.  Not like the 4am last week celebration at the Farm - STILL, IT IS ALLOWED ON SPECIAL WINNINGS.

SEPTEMBER BIRTHDAYS AT THE FARM
This week we say HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JESSICA, she and a group of friends did an all weekender at the Farm, up all hours each night, luckily they weren't sleeping at Peters house.   She has been hard to get up these last couple of mornings - still getting over it.

More September Birthday Greetings to come! I think 5 altogether.

FOND FAREWELL AND BEST OF LUCK
Peter will miss his very good friend ROB WILEY who will be moving over East for the next 3 years.  HE WILL BE ASSISTANT COACH AT CARLTON FOOTBALL CLUB under Mick Malthouse.  Peter knows the team will benefit from Rob's experience, he creates Winners and Premierships wherever he is, to name this years Under 16's Premiers.
Peter commented that there will be quite a few flights being made over to see him.
Amelia Park and Syndicate Owners wish Rob every success in his new venture.

PETER PLAYS HOST
Peter hosted an evening at Jacksons Restaurant last evening.  He invited 60 people including Top Chefs as a thankyou Dinner for using and promoting Amelia Park Products.  Peter said the evening was a great success.

INVITATION TO INSPECT
Peter, Annie and Jess will go to Perth on Thursday to have a tour of Jess's School which she will board at in the near future to further her studies.  Jess excels in her schooling so attending St. Hildas will be a bonus for her.

VISITORS
Annie will play hostess this weekend while Peter is in Kalgoorlie.  Vangie and her son are coming for a break so it will be good for the girls to catch up - no doubt a few bottles of Champagne will be consumed!!!  ENJOY

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News Update at Amelia Park.

KALGOORLIE
AMELIAS DANCER
SUNDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER

Unfortunately Peter can't make the trip to Kalgoorlie, due to House commitments but would have loved to be there in the action.  Hoping for a good barrier draw, and if so it should be in the top at the line.  Hopefully Amelia travels well on Saturday and wakes up raring to go on Sunday.
GOOD LUCK AND GO ALL THE WAY!

Peter has a friend who runs the Kambalda Hotel and said they now have some vacancies for the Kalgoorlie Round.  Apparently all the accommodation is booked out in Kalgoorlie.  If anyone is looking to head to to the Races you call call Sue on 0427862265.  It is about 50km from Kal but well worth the travel to enjoy the Races.

WEDNESDAY
RUBACUORI
This Syndicate Horse is set for hopefully a good showing, it has all the ingredients for some winning races.

ITS GETTING CLOSER
Peter is rapped that the House is getting nearer completion.  This weekend he will be busy with Sculptures and Paintings being installed.  It is full on with workmen coming and going from early am to late pm.  WE are all very excited for Peter, it has been a lengthy project for him.

HOLIDAY TIME
We say Happy Holidays to Yo Yo who will be away for approximately 1 week.

WELCOME MAT OUT
Abbas comes home this weekend and he will be a welcome sight.  He will be a bit sore for the first few days after coming off a long long break but of course we won't give him much sympathy.

ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL OF DUTY
Our hearts go to Owen who had a bad kick in the face last week, broken teeth and lots of stitches and swelling.  We couldn't believe Owen returned to work the very next day, couldn't talk, couldn't eat but there he was at 4am. That certainly shows his dedication to his horses which have had great success since he commenced at Amelia Park.
I think the staff got stuck into him while he couldn't answer back!!!
WHAT A DEDICATED TROUPER

And lastly, PETER IS LOVING THIS RAIN.

Enjoy your Racing everyone and look forward to next week.

regards

Shelley

HOME FROM CHINA

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News at Amelia Park.

RACING:

TODAY BELMONT
SYNDICATE HORSE:  MAKE A MOVE
Peter thinks this horse should perform very well today.  Carrying a bit of weight but should make a good showing.  GOOD LUCK TO THE SYNDICATE.

Peter is very pleased to be home but did say he had a very rewarding time in China.

He felt honoured by being invited to the Governors Table at a large event on the Meat Industry and he was interviewed for the Television.

He also did MORE SHOPPING for his Home (I think he would have exhausted all shops over there now) and he was very pleased with the work progress on his return home.  It is certainly looking outstanding.

I can't wait to catch up with Annie and hear how her shopping expedition went!!

Peter was on his way to Perth this morning so he didn't have time for a chat.  So I will speak to him for next weeks report and he will advise on the progress of his horses.

AMELIA PARK is thriving and its now countdown for Abbas's homecoming.
We are all waiting for his great CURRIES!

Enjoy your week and same time, same place next week.

Hello and welcome to this weeks News at Amelia Park.

CHINA
Peter is very busy on this trip and today goes to Harbin to visit Mr. Chen.  He should return to Amelia Park Saturday.

AMELIA PARK
All the horses are in great shape and enjoying the lush paddocks.
I spoke to Abbas on Skype and he is enjoying his extended holiday at home in India.
I did remind him he is due back in 2 weeks and gave him my shopping list.  I feel for him to have to leave his family but we will ensure he is kept busy to take his mind off it!!!!  Everyone will welcome him back with open arms.  Now he has permanency here I think he will buy a car so he can get around more freely - which will be a big help for him.

Another baby is on the way for Mason and Em.  So a big CONGRATULATIONS to them both.

I think Peter will be pleased with the progress on THE HOUSE, workmen everywhere!!

Enjoy your weekend and look forward to sending Peter's report next week.

GREAT NIGHT

Hello and welcome to this weeks News Update.

STAFF DINNER
We had a great night on Saturday, Peter organised a Dinner at our local Chinese Restaurant, the food was outstanding and the wine and spirits flowed,  They in fact continued to flow into the wee hours with some of the staff carrying on.  A few sore heads so I am told.

WE THANKYOU PETER FOR YOUR GENEROSITY

RACING
AMELIAS DANCER will probably make a showing next week.

REPRISAL
HAS TO IMPROVE!!!
Very disappointing, Peter said 'didn't even look like trying', has pulled up sore so tests are being done to try and find a WHY!

BUSY WEEK
Peter has a full week  -

Tuesday         -  Breakfast with David Parkin (top class Football Coach)
Wednesday   -   Fly to Esperance to catch up with Clients (also good friends)
Thursday       -  Dinner with Rob Wiley and Michael Malthouse (wish I was going tooo)
Saturday        -  Relaxing Day at the Races with group of friends.  Shame nothing is running this
                          week.

WANGA STILL AWAY FROM WORK
Wanga said unfortunately he wont be returning to work as thought, the damage caused is still not recovered so it will be more tests. If you know Wanga then you can imagine how frustrated he is!!!

Glenn returned to work this week after 2 weeks break and  Ruth is now on leave for 10 days.  Always someone coming and going !!

Enjoy your weekend everyone and same time next week.

HOME FROM BALI

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News at Amelia Park.

BELMONT RACES
SONGBURG - 3RD
Didnt make the grade this week.  Pleased with the run against good horses. Peter is more than happy with Songburg's performances so home for a well earned rest and return for the Spring campaign.

AMELIAS DANCER
Wasn't disappointed.  1st up run coming back from a long break, had a beautiful run home and much better things to come.

RACING THIS SATURDAY
BELMONT RACE 3
REPRISAL
Its all getting exciting times now on the track.  Peter is really looking forward to seeing Reprisal return.

SYNDICATE HORSES
Looking good, some will be starting their campaign in the next couple of weeks and everyone is eagerly waiting to spend time at the races.

BACK FROM BALI
TO MANY WOMEN IN THE CAMP
NO MALE BACKUP
Peter is usually pretty good but I think the women got the better of him, he just couldn't do all the shoppathons, instead left them to it and made good use of the pool and massages.
Jesse unfortunately didn't see much daylight, 2nd day in the flu struck so she was bed ridden for most of the time.  She has rallied but now given it to Annie.  Hope you recover quickly Annie in time for Saturday.
Speaking of Massages, Peter said there is no place like home for his MASSAGES.  Vicki  is doing a wonderful job in keeping Peters continual back problems in order.
Make sure you ring in advance to book Vicki, its hard to get in, especially when Peter is home.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
Peter is treating the staff to our Annual Dinner on Saturday Night, and I am looking forward to it.  Peter always comes up with a delicious Menu.  It will be great to catch up socially with everyone. We can also celebrate Abbas & Elise being full timers of the team at Amelia Park with their Visas granted.

WANGA IS WAITING
He visits the Doctor tomorrow so hoping for good report and find out when he comes back to work.  He will certainly get a rousing cheer on his return (and a long list of jobs).

CHEERS TO THE STAFF
Peter said all the horses in the Stables are looking outstanding and gives full credit to the staff in their dedication to the horses.

"THE HOUSE"
Everything is on track and it is looking fantastic.
Peter said just as well his horses are having a winning time and keeping him afloat as the pockets have been very empty of late.

THE FARM IS LOOKING OUTSTANDING   -     GREEN PADDOCKS, RUNNING CREEK,  HEALTHY  HORSES AND HAPPY STAFF.

Happy Punting everyone and enjoy your weekend.

Shelley

Welcome everyone to this JULY News Update at Amelia Park.
My goodness June has already gone, Xmas is looming closer.

SONGBURG  -  1ST
BELMONT SAT 30TH JUNE
PETER AND OTHER OWNERS WERE THRILLED WITH THIS GREAT WIN .  2 WIN FROM 2 OUTINGS - CAN'T DO ANY BETTER.
Peter did tell the the boys that this Horse was going to be a Winner.

A big thankyou to Dion, Lou and Owen for all the hard work and preparation that was put into this Filly.
They will now keep a close on her to see how she fares in the next couple of weeks for another run, but any sign and she will be bought home.

MADAME de AMELIA
Has been slotted in for Northam this week in Race 4.  Everyone is keen to see Madame perform.

PETER IS SHOPPED OUT
After a 2 day Perth Shopping Spree I don't think Peter will be revisiting for a while.  He was very pleased with the end result, with Annie beside him they certainly made hay while the Sales were on.  He said he is sure the cupboards and draws will be well stocked - I can truly believe that to!!!!!

Peter and the family leave next weekend, LADY GAGA is first off the rank, all the girls are looking forward to this, I think Peter will have a few quiet ones on his own that night.  Then Monday they are all off to Bali for FUN IN THE SUN!!  Very envious!!

VISA GRANTED - CONGRATULATIONS ELISE
Elise is thrilled that Peter has organised her Visa.  She returned from France yesterday and we all look forward to seeing her back at the Farm this week.  We will share a few ales with her on her return.

Have an enjoyable week everyone and look forward to our Report from Bali next week.

A GREAT WIN

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

Apologies for lateness but had my computer spiked and have only just come back on line - thats what happens down here in Winter!!!!

SONGBURG - NORTHAM
A GREAT WIN
Peter was thrilled to see Songburg get a win and congratulates all his good friends that are also Owners.
Peter gives a big thankyou to Owen who put a lot of effort and hard work in getting Songburg in fantastic shape.

Songburg is listed to race at Belmont on Saturday in Race 1 - GOOD RACING!

MADAME de AMELIA may have a run in Northam next week.

Peter has a good feeling for the next 12 months with some really good horses at and coming to the track.
ITS TIME!!!

MARES HEADING EAST
Kristy has been busy getting the Mares all ready to leave for their respective Studs next week.  They are all going to top Stallions so the next few months will be eagerly watched.

FOUNDATION FOR JUNIORS
Peter had a hoot of a night with Rob Wiley returning to the Footy Club -  Peter said there is nothing like THE FRIDAY NIGHT MEALS AT THE FOOTBALL CLUB where all the Mothers prepared their meals - STILL THE BEST! It certainly bought all the good memories flooding back.

Peter enjoyed helping to raise money for the Foundation.

BEAUTIFUL REDS
Peter cooked us a meal this week and we enjoyed LAMB RACK together with some georgous Reds.  It certainly fools you as you don't realise the amount drunk until you stand up!!!  It slides down so so smoothly.  THANKYOU PETER FOR THE HEAD!!

JUNE SALES
Peter has taken off to Perth for a few days to do some serious HOUSE SHOPPING, he will be in his glory.

BALI FAMILY HOLIDAY
The Family will take off to Tanah Lot next week and enjoy beautiful weather.  I will ask Annie to bottle some and bring home.

A CALMER WEEK

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News Update.

CALMER WEATHER THIS WEEK
Which allows the staff to get a run at clearing all the debris from the Farm.

RACING:

NORTHAM - THURSDAY
SONGBURG  - RACE 1
Should be in with a big chance - has a good barrier draw.
Songurg left Amelia Park in beautiful condition so Peter is keen for a good result.

AMELIAS DANCER
Will leave the Stables this weekend and travel to Perth for preparation .  Should be running in a couple of weeks.

REPRISAL
Still at the Farm and going as planned.

TRACK OUT OF ACTION
The Farm track was out of action for a few days due to fallen debris and very soggy track.  But it wasn't a holiday for the horses.  They spent their trackwork time in the Walker, Pool and Round Yards.  I think they enjoyed a different routine for a change.  BACK ON TRACK NOW.

Peter is looking forward to the weekend in Perth.
He will be attending an event, guest of Rob Wiley, for the Foundation of Juniors Football.  He is a great friend of Rob's and loves Football so he will enjoy this outing.

Just to tell you again, the Farm paddocks are looking fabulous as is the whole Farm and the Creek is filling up fast.

ENJOY YOUR RACING FOLKS!

DOWN FOR DAYS

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia Park Estate.

Firstly, Peter hopes everyone and their property is safe and sound after the battering Sunday and Tuesday.

WE COPPED IT AGAIN AT AMELIA PARK
It is so sad to see what devastation is done after Storms.  A lot of the Farms beautiful Trees were destroyed along with horse fences and debris everywhere and NO POWER FOR DAYS.
It certainly makes you appreciate what it must have been like in the old days - No Water, No Power, No SHOWER.   The road leading to the Farm - Kaloorup Road - once again was the worst hit, the number of trees down closed the road for some hours.
Thankfully Tuesdays Storm wasn't as severe as predicted.

THE CLEANUP CONTINUES........

THE ONLY GOOD NEWS OUT OF ALL THIS  -    THE CREEK IS RUNNING !

RACING
BELMONT TODAY
MADAME DE AMELIA  - 3RD
PETER VERY PLEASED, IT WAS A BRIGHT LIGHT FROM A DARK WEEK FOR HIM.

SAD LOSS
Unfortunately one of Peters great hopes - half sister to Madame De Amelia had to be put down after breaking her leg during the storm on Sunday. Luckily she didn't suffer to long which was a blessing.

2ND SAD LOSS
Thieves at The Tavern
Sadly the Tavern will now be locked each night after losing money and wine and spirits on the weekend.  They certainly spoil it for Peter who tries to make his property available to family, friends and staff.

Well we sure hope we have seen the last of the storms and damage for quite a while and just receive LOTS OF RAIN.

Enjoy the rest of your storm free week and look forward to GOOD NEWS next week.

PETER - NEXT WEEK WILL BE BETTER!!!

Shelley

Hello and Welcome to this weeks News for Amelia Park Estate.

ITS OFFICIAL
OUR WINTER MONTHS HAVE ARRIVED   -   APPARENTLY!!!
We now wait for the RAIN TO COME!

RACING
Peter is excited about next week as 2 Horses will go to the track -
Madam de Amelia and Songbird.  Good luck Peter lets hope the campaign has begun. There has been some changes to the Training so it will be new times.

BURNING OFF
Peter and the men will be having a ball and fighting over the matches.  Its burn off time so they will be in their glory. The Tractors will be out in force - I am going to judge who has the biggest bonfire.   Something about men and fires!!!!

LUSH PADDOCKS
The paddocks are looking great as they green up and they to are waiting for some rain to flourish.

BUSY LONG WEEKEND
Having beautiful weather Peter enjoyed entertaining at the Farm with several groups of visitors. He was very busy as usual - and loving it.

HOLIDAY WELL EARNED
ABBAS - Our new AUSSIE will return home to India on Sunday for a few months.  It has been a long haul for Abbas but now he can enjoy a long overdue holiday with his Family.  Peter is overjoyed that Abbas passed all tests with flying colours and he is truly PART OF THE FAMILY. Peter is taking him to Dinner at Newtown House on Thursday to again thank him for all is dedication and hard work.

The Staff will certainly miss him and will all rally round to fill in while he is away.  Peter remarked that the best thing at the Farm is that all staff just get in and all help whenever they are needed.

Wanga visited the Farm yesterday, he is slowly recuperating but I think getting very restless not being with the horses everyday.  We all miss his sick humour.

I hope to report on THE CREEK FILLING UP in next weeks update.

Enjoy your week

HAPPY HOLIDAY ABBAS
WE WILL ALL MISS YOU

TRIAL WIN - NOW LETS GET RACING

Hello and welcome to this weeks News Update of Amelia Park Estate.

RACING
A good win at Trials on Monday for Madame de Amelia, everyone was very pleased as a lot of hard work has gone into Pre Training at the Farm.  Owen was chuffed.
There has been alot of tinkering and making some changes together with having seed analysed.
So as Peter says, its time to get back on track and start celebrating again.
Syndicate Horse Pants on friar arrived at Ascot last week to begin preparations.

AMELIAS DANCER - 'Star of the Stables'
Peter said Dancer is looking in excellent condition and is now bigger and stronger than ever.

BETTER THAN THE PICTURE
Peter has returned from Mauritius (dragging Annie with him - she didnt want to come back). He said the place is ' DELICIOUS MAURITIUS ', David and Rita Rodwell were the perfect Hosts and made their time there very special.
Peter especially enjoyed this trip as it was PURE HOLIDAY.

GROUNDED FOR 5 WEEKS
Peter is now home for a spell and cant wait to get back into the goings on at the Farm.
His House is still on track for completion in October and is looking awesome.

WE ARE ALL WAITING FOR THE RAIN

Which hopefully I can report on next week.

ENVIOUS

MAURITIUS

Welcome everyone

Just come across one of the beautiful pictures of this beautiful spot.  Peter and Annie are currently there visiting Peters good friend David Rodwell - IT LOOKS VERY INVITING DOESN'T IT!!!

I look forward to hearing all about their adventure next week.

AMELIA PARK
Our Stable Manager Owen reported that he is very pleased with the Pre-Training Programme and some of the horses will leave for Perth next week.  He is quite keen to see these horses progression in Perth.

He also reported that a Trainer from Ireland requested to visit the Farm as he had heard good reports and was told not to miss having a look over the place.  Owen said he welcomed James Halpin and had an interesting meeting and showed him over the Farm.
Peter will be pleased to hear we have had a visitor.

My goodness it has been cold in the mornings and evenings.  As the kettle gets put on in the early mornings I think of the staff that have been already working for 1 hour OUTSIDE and feel for them - Glad its them and not me!!!

Keep Warm everyone and look forward to Peters report next week and HOPEFULLY A RAIN REPORT.

BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN DAY AT THE FARM

ONE OF THE PEACEFUL SETTINGS AT AMELIA PARK

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News.

BACK FROM SYDNEY
The credit card looking very sad.
A surprise for Samantha.  Peter took Sammy to Sydney with him last week and she was full of joy to spend time with her Dad.  They took in the wonderful sights and dined at a very special Restaurant - SPICE TEMPLE.  Peter said it was unbelievable.  If your heading that way make sure to try it out.
AND THEN IT WAS OFF ON THE SHOPPING SPREE.  Sammy - as they say "shopped till she dropped" - and then Peter dropped when he saw the card balance.
Peter said it was worth it to see Sammy smiling.

WALSH ANNUAL FAMILY DAY AT THE FARM
The Walsh clan is certainly expanding, it was great to see everyone enjoy the day, Vern was very happy to see the Family spending quality time together.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ABBAS
FINALLY - ABBAS HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED AS AN "AUSSIE".  After a long procedure that Peter and Abbas had to endure his Resident Visa has been confirmed.
Peter is thrilled and he is now a permanent fixture at Amelia Park.  He arrives back from Bali today so we will all be celebrating with him.  He will now be able to arrange for his Family to come over and live - how exciting for Abbas he has certainly done the long hard yards.

THE DROUGHT HAS TO COME TO AN END!!
Peter, Lou and Dion have been working hard these last months trying to turn around the drought in the racing game.  A couple of horses are due to leave for Perth next week so in the next few weeks will be ready for trialling and hopefully the changes that have been made will see  better campaigns in the near future.
WE ALL WANT TO GET TO THE TRACK!

MASSAGE & DAY SPA
Receiving great feed back each week with Vicki working 7 days a week.  Her hands must get very very tired!!!
Sammy has some friends staying over this weekend so Vicki is going to be very busy.

Vicki's number again for people wanting to make an appointment - IT IS CERTAINLY WORTH IT!

0405267302

OFF AGAIN
Peter and Annie are off to MAURITIUS on Sunday for approximately a week.  They have been invited by Peters great friend David Rodwell so being one of the few places Peter hasn't been to he is looking forward to exploring this beautiful place.

I look forward to hearing from Peter during the week for his News Update.

Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!
