ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE
It was a great day as usual for the boys,  Up and back in the day makes for a very lazy Sunday. but well worth it.  Already talking about next year.

Unfortunately not a winner for the boys.
No excuses today, didn't kick when needed.

Was disappointing but Abbasso does not handle heavy track.

Showing promise, come home soundly so thats a first positive.



BUSY WEEKEND COMING
Peter is looking forward to hosting a Dinner Party for friends.

Leia is coming home with some friends from Uni, they are doing an assignment on Amelia Park Wines and Peter will be there to assist them.

Sammi and Jobe arrive home from the US on the weekend and then back to reality and looking forward to her stories.

MASSAGES BACK
Yuni is the lady to see, all reports that her hands really do the trick.  
HER WORKDAYS ARE THUSDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

ANNUAL PILGRIMAGE

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.



ANNUAL RACES WITH THE BOYS

Arthur is being prepared to ferry Peter, Wanga, Noel and Adrian to Ascot on Saturday.  Peter said it is a long day but a great day.  The esky is opened in Capel on the trip up and closed at Amelia Park on its return.  Sunday is usually a WRITE OFF.  This has been happening for years and I do think it is getting harder as the years roll on, but of course they love it.

EUROSUN
RACE 5
Has drawn the last Barrier so GOOD SIGN, BAD SIGN, WHO KNOWS.  This horse doesnt have much luck its way so LETS HOPE FOR THE BOYS THAT LUCK IS ON THE TRACK IN THIS RACE.



WINERY
Peter is very happy with the progress of the Cellar, all on track, all approvals given and looking towards November for the opening.

NOT SO FOR NEWTOWN HOUSE
RED TAPE, RED TAPE, Peter said it is very frustrating with the time frame in Australia with approvals.  He cant see anything happening for months and months and then it is with the Licencing Court, so another long wait.  He estimates 12-18 months before an opening.



THURSDAY LUNCHEON
Peter is looking forward to having Darren McAuliffe down on Thursday, its always a great catch up.


NEW BOSS PROVING EXCELLENT
Peter commented that he is chuffed with Sara, she is certainly working the horses and staff and bringing new clients to Amelia park.


BIRTHDAYS
Glenn celebrated on the 9th with Peter and Annie, very sore heads the next day and it was a great night.  Thanks Peter we can always count on you to celebrate hard.

Abbas celebrated his day on the 17th and I know you wouldn't have had a sore head Abbas.

Leia is coming to the Farm this weekend so it will be an all girls weekend.

The Farm is looking lush and green not to mention the WEEDS!!!!!!!

In Peters opinion Tonto is a tired horse and needs a good spell and hopefully can come back a better horse.


EUROSUN
ASCOT
Disappointing with NO LUCK AGAIN.  Racing again on 25th so fingers crossed with a little luck SHOULD BE HARD TO BEAT!

SLINGSBY
Racing today and Peter thinks it will be its last chance, so lets hope for a good result.



BIG WEEKEND
Peter enjoyed a big weekend in Perth.

ROB WILEY'S 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS - WHAT A FANTASTIC NIGHT IT WAS, EXTREMELY WELL ORGANISED, PETER ENJOYED CATCHING UP WITH ROB AND 
FRIENDS.

FINISHED OFF THE WEEKEND WITH A BEAUTIFUL BREKKY WITH ANNIE, JESSE, LEIA AND SAMMY & JOBE AT  'THE BOAT SHED' IN SOUTH PERTH (PETER HIGHLY RECOMMENDS IT), THEY EVEN HAD A BAND PLAYING WHICH MADE IT VERY PLEASURABLE.

THEY FAREWELL ED SAMMY & JOBE WHO LEFT FOR AMERICA - LUCKY THINGS!

Unfortunately Peter missed the CELEBRATIONS AT WALPOLE FOR NEIL'S 70TH.  HE HAS HEARD BACK FROM EVERYONE WHO SAID IT WAS A FANTASTIC WEEKEND AND FULL OF LAUGHS AND ENJOYMENT.

PETER NOW LOOKING FORWARD TO A QUIET RELAXING WEEKEND (THE ONLY ONE NOW FOR A WHILE).

BEAUTIFUL RAINS THIS PAST WEEK, EVERYTHING IS SUDDENLY  LUSH GREEN AND AMELIA PARK IS LOOKING STUNNING.

PETER HAD A VISIT LAST EVENING FROM 12 BLACK SWANS ON HIS DAM, HE HASN'T SEEN MANY SINCE LAST YEAR SO HE HOPES THEY STAY ON THE FARM, THERE ARE LOTS OF DAMS TO ENJOY.

PETER SAID AGAIN HOW VERY HAPPY IS WITH SARA, ALL IS IN TOP ORDER AT THE STABLES.

HAPPY FISHING BRETT,  OFF TO THE ABROHLOS FOR HIS ANNUAL TRIP!!

PETER HAS BEEN INVITED TO A LUNCHEON SO HE IS LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCHING BOTH OF THESE HORSES AND THEN CELEBRATING!!!!

PERFECT EASTER WEATHER

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park,.

PERFECT WEATHER - COULDNT ASK FOR BETTER

WE HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYED THEIR EASTER BREAK 

PETER ORGANISED A HUGE EASTER EGG HUNT AT THE TAVERN, THE KIDS HAD A BALL SEARCHING AND FINDING ALL THE EGGS, I THINK THE DOGS ENDED UP WITH A FEW TOOO!!!

I had to go to work and missed the search, so I did sneak back later just to check if there was maybe one or two that were missed - NO SUCH LUCK!!!

COSTA & DAKOTA CERTAINLY HAD A BIG FIND!!

PETER IS REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING ABBASSO ON THE TRACK, HOPE IT GOES WELL.

PETER SAID AS LONG ASA LITTLE BIT OF LUCK IS IN, EUROSUN SHOULD BE HARD TO BEAT.

PETER THOUGHT TONTO LOOKING A BIT FLAT, HE IS HOPING MORE THAN ANYTHING.

HOT OFF THE PRESS

BIG SALE

PETER OVER THE MOON, REDOUTES CHOICE COLT JUST SOLD AT THE EASTER SALES FOR $575,000. WHAT A FANTASTIC RESULT.

ALSO WINNING IN THE BREEDING STAKES.

I THINK THE CORKS WILL BE POPPING TONIGHT!!!!!

ALL IS GOING VERY WELL INDEED AT THE FARM. PETER IS PLEASED WITH SARA WITH HER GREAT MANAGING SKILLS AND SHE IS RECEIVING GOOD SUPPORT FROM ALL THE TRAINERS.

V & V WALSH/AMELIA PARK RACE DAY

ONCE AGAIN IT WAS A FANTASTIC DAY PUT ON BY PETER & GREG.    

GREAT GROUP OF PEOPLE WHO ENJOYED WONDERFUL FOOD, BEVERAGE AND TOP SERVICE.  CONGRATULATIONS FOR ANOTHER GREAT PERFORMANCE FROM THE STAFF.

WE DID HAVE TO ENDURE THE "EVANS" CLAN TAKING HOME A FEW OF THE PRIZES - LUCKILY THEY ARE A LOVELY FAMILY!!!!

PETER ARRIVED BACK FROM SYDNEY TODAY AND IS LOOKING FORWARD TO A NICE LONG BREAK (FROM WORK)!!

HE WILL CATCH UP WITH DAVID & RITA RODWELL FROM SOUTH AFRICA WHO WILL BE STAYING WITH THEM, AND PETER WILL ENJOY THE VISIT.

NO DOUBT HE WILL BE HIDING THE EASTER EGGS ON SUNDAY FOR COSTA & DAKOTA TO FIND.

   

WE HOPE EVERYONE ENJOYS THEIR LOVELY EASTER BREAK AND THAT THE WEATHER REMAINS FINE.
