REWARDING RACING WEEK

PREPARING HORSES FOR MORNING
TRACKWORK AT AMELIA PARK

HELLO EVERYONE, welcome to our report from last weeks results and happenings from Amelia Park.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA
REPRISAL - SECOND
Was rated as Favourite for this race but was carrying a slight virus and didn't disappoint with second placing. They will give the horse an easy 3 weeks to recover and will keep you updated with the progress.

ASCOT

BLACK HABIT - THIRD
Very pleased with the run, it showed the horse has the ability to improve.

CHINA BAY - FOURTH
To draw Barrier 16, carry 58.5kg and only lose by a length, Peter was more than happy.

RANDWICK

MS CHIEF BOUND - 2YO MAIDEN TRIAL - FIRST
Thrilled with the first, Gai was pleased with the result. The jockey commented to Gai that this horse was a good ride and feels it has a lot of ability for future races. Peter was chuffed with those comments.

THIS WEEK

PINJARRA 31/3
MASTER SECRET - looking forward to watching how this 2 year old race is run by the Master.

AMELIAS DANCER - Will hopefully run on Saturday, will keep you posted

REPORT ON -
EUROPA POINT - SYDNEY
Keep an eye on this horse, has had a slight knee problem but showing good signs and should have a run on 10/4.

ASCOT SPONSER DAY
Peter, family and friends thoroughly enjoyed their day on Saturday. The Turf Club certainly looked after them with excellent service as always and complimentary drinks for the day, a Chinese Dinner followed and ended a great day.

AMELIA PARK
Welcome back Wanga, you were missed by your morning antics as well as your pair of hands.

HOME FOR EASTER
Peter will be staying at the farm over Easter, he said he is looking forward to some quiet time after his latest busy period. In saying that, David Rodwell and Rita and friends from South Africa will be arriving so the quiet time may not happen and Peter will continue to entertain and host his close friends as he does best, but being on his turf will compensate.

We wish everyone happiness over their EASTER BREAK and look forward to reporting all the news next week.

ENJOY THE EGG HUNT AND HOT X BUNS

TOMORROWS CHAMPIONS

EARLY MORN AFTER

THEIR FIRST THUNDERSTORM

Greetings everyone, apologies for the late report this week.

PINJARRA 14TH MARCH

AMELIAS DANCER - 1ST

Fantastic result for a FIRST RACE, FIRST WIN. Peter sends congratulations to his Co-Owners - Percy from Singapore in his first horse (other than the Amelia Park Syndicate) and Patto from the Phillipines. On the grapevine it is whispered that not only did they have a nice collect but some of their colleagues had very substantial wins and with that they are off to DUBAI to enjoy the racing and recreation. Peter was thrilled for all and great to see people enjoying their racing. Lou said this horse has still to fully mature yet so wont have many more starts but come 6 months time he said this will be a very, very good horse.

ASCOT SATURDAY 27TH

BLACK HABIT - RACE 4

CHINA BAY - RACE 8

Peter is Sponsoring Race 5 for Amelia Park and will enjoy a day with his family on Saturday and hopefully watch these horses make a good showing.

EASTERN STATES:

EUROPA POINT

Has now been taken to Sydney to continue his campaign. The horse is still undergoing some knee treatment but is getting back to form.

REPRISAL - SOUTH AUSTRALIA MORPHETVILLE 27TH MARCH
David Hayes is hoping Reprisal will shine through in this race.

MS. CHIEF BOUND - will be trialling on Friday at Randwick. Gai Waterhourse is eager to see how this horse performs.

THE YOUNGSTERS

Some of them pictured above, are doing excellent and eagerly learning the ropes. Luckily the thunderstorm didn't seem to cause them any worry.

LUCIANI STABLES

Dion reported to Peter the following Horse Movements.

RED TIME RUNNER and AMELIAS GLORY are both being prepped and are doing very nicely.

MASTER SECRET - should be running next Wednesday, will keep you posted.
AMELIA PARK
We had a Storm Warning come thru on email so we battened down for the night. Fortunately we had no damage just some rumbling and LOVELY RAIN, mind you it makes for extra growth and extra mowing.
Lou is back to his 2nd home and spending a lot of time pre-training and helping the staff with full stables.
Peter came home from his business trip to South Africa. He commented that David Rodwell and Rita treated him like a King at their beautiful home in Cape Town. He has some wonderful friends there and managed to catch up with some socialising (in between Business) - apparently every night he was wined and dined. I thought he looked a little tired on his return.
I hope we all enjoy our week of racing and look forward to reporting with good results next week.
regards
Shelley

RAIN AT AMELIA PARK

Hello all, we hope you enjoyed your past week, especially at the Bunbury Round and now follow up on the weeks results.

BUNBURY
ALMOHAD - 6TH
We cannot be disappointed after the magic campaign Almohad has had so now home for a huge rest.

AMELIAS TIGER
A fairly good run for 5th in the start of its campaign.

AMELIAS DANCER - SCRATCHED

AMELIAS REASON - SAD

SANDOWN - REPRISAL
This race was short but good effort for 5th.

ASCOT SATURDAY 13TH
BLACK HABIT - SCRATCHED

AMELIA PARK
With Peter away in South Africa this week it will be a quiet one, just business as usual for the staff. Wanga is off on 2 weeks holiday so the staff are very busy covering his workload. Happy Fishing Wanga and we don't want to know about the one that got away.

THE SOUND OF RAIN ON THE ROOF was a delight to listen to. It certainly cleaned the dust from everything and the lawn growth is certainly keeping Glenn busy.

This week will be quiet on the race track so I look forward to next weeks update to you.

Have a great week everyone.

regards
Shelley

CONCERT - NIGHT UNDER THE STARS

TAVERN/AMPHITHEATRE
BEAUTIFUL NIGHT SETTING

Welcome everyone, another week rolls quickly by and we are back again reporting to you on the past and upcoming events. I received this picture and wanted to share it with you for those who haven't experienced a night at Amelia Park.

RESULTS

FLEMINGTON - EUROPA POINT

Unfortunately didn't get in the race, there was a lot of good company in this top race but pleased enough. They will rest him for 3 weeks and then maybe head up to Sydney for some suitable races.

ASCOT

CHINA BAY - SECOND

Peter was very pleased with this result, good to see China back in it.

BLACK HABIT

The horse was given every chance but did not follow through, disappointing run.

THE BUNBURY ROUND

This is an exciting week ahead for racegoers and the AMELIAS.

TUESDAY 9TH

RACE 1 - AMELIAS DANCER - Looks good for an each way bet.

RACE 2 - AMELIAS TIGER - Looking forward to see Tiger perform.

RACE 9 - AMELIAS REASON - WHO KNOWS!!!! We keep hoping.

THURSDAY - BUNBURY CUP DAY

ALMOHAD - RACE 1

What a magnificent job this horse has done throughout its campaign. He is a bit tired but Lou feels one more start to finish off, if anyone can charge him on - Lou can. Almohad is home at Amelia Park and Lou is working and freshening him up. Best of luck Lou . Almohad will then return home for a well deserved rest.

WEDNESDAY - SANDOWN

REPRISAL - This race will be a bit short but hopefully can show us some good form.

AMELIA PARK

A very busy past week for Peter where he travelled to Esperance. He thoroughly enjoyed his time there and spent his days out on the land getting his hands dirty and catching up with all his clients which he said bought back plenty of good memories for him.

This week some of the Boys are coming to the Farm for some rest and recreation and Peter will he hosting more guests throughout the week. On the weekend he will leave for South Africa on business by which time I think he will need a rest, especially if there is a lot of celebrating to do after the hectic Race Week.

WE WISH PETER ALL SUCCESS THIS WEEK AND HOPE THERE IS A LOT OF CELEBRATING AT AMELIA PARK!!

I look forward to reporting to you next week and HAPPY RACING to all.

regards

Shelley

MAGIC NIGHT UNDER THE STARS

Welcome all, I hope a great week and Holiday weekend was enjoyed and report on the weeks happenings.

GREAT SUCCESS FOR CONCERT NIGHT
Peter was thrilled with the event, he said what more could you ask for, PERFECT BAND, PERFECT WEATHER, PERFECT GUESTS. He gives a huge THANKYOU to LITTLE SISTER on a fantastic performance where the large crowd was enthralled with their entertainment. Everyone had a great night and the weather certainly makes a huge difference where not a cardy was in sight. What a special sight the location is at night when all the lights come alive -its quite breathtaking. I had planned for some photos to show you but a slight hiccup so will hopefully publish them in next weeks report.

PINJARRA CUP
ALMOHAD - SECOND
Even though he was the Red Hot Favourite Peter was still very happy with the result. This horse has done more than asked throughout his campaign which is coming to an end and Lou will bring him home to Amelia Park for some R & R to return for 1 more run in the Bunbury Cup this month. He just keeps giving Lou his best so try 1 more then home for a long deserved spell.

AMELIAS REASON
Peter said this horse certainly is frustrating. Even under different Trainers and their methods, the horse pre-trains well then lets down in the race. Peter will speak to Pricey and then inform Syndicate Members of Amelias future.

SUPER SATURDAY AT FLEMINGTON
EUROPA POINT
This $400,000 race is set up to be a great showing. Europa Point will be running in a class field but is in it with a BIG CHANCE - Good luck Punters.

AMELIA PARK
THE DAY SPA IS COMPLETE
What a fantastic new addition to Amelia Park, the buildings together with the landscaping and water features makes this a peaceful haven for Peter and his guests (I hope I am one of them!!!) He is currently interviewing for the right person to fill the criteria required in this field.

FIRST STAGE
Peters New Home is now in its first stage of site works. This will be quite a lengthy development and we look forward to watching its progress. I will keep you updated with the stages.

HANDLING OF FOALS
The Staff are enjoying working with the young ones and getting them accustomed to handling. It is a pure delight to watch these creatures running and frolicking AND NOT BEHAVING. I give the staff full credit in their patience and effort.

OUR SYMPATHY
It was sad news for Brett as his Mothers partner passed away and Brett has flown to Melbourne to offer support and be by Sue's side in this very sad time. His Sister Samantha has also left Canada to be with their Mum. Our thoughts and love go to Sue, Brett & Sammy and your support to each other will shine through.

Peter is currently in Esperance on business but will be back in time for next weeks report before flying out to South Africa.

ENJOY YOUR WEEK EVERYONE!

GOOD LUCK TO EUROPA POINT AT FLEMINGTON.

warm regards

Shelley
