ANOTHER TREE HITS THE DECK

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks WET report.

Awoke this morning to yet another large tree falling. If this continues we won't have any big shady trees left for Summer. More cleaning up and repairing fences. The staff won't be happy.
The Shire are still trying to clear all the debris from the last storm, the Farm still has large trees that have fallen thru horse fences that need to be cleared away and fences repaired, the staff have to keep moving the horses around as those paddocks can't be used.

AMELIAS DANCER
3RD AT BELMONT 16TH
I believe all were quite happy with Dancers run after coming back from an injury. I will keep you posted with the next run.

KUALA LUMPUR
Peter flew out on the weekend for some business to attend to and should be returning later this week. I didn't get a chance to catch up so will wait and get the full report for next week.

The Matera family have left and apparently had a very enjoyable time at the farm. Look forward to seeing them again.

SYNDICATE III
We are all trying to guess which Names the Horses have been allotted, we hope of course that they are the ones we all named, should hear soon.

EAGLES HEART STOPPER WIN
The game is never over until the siren goes. That certainly was true at the Derby!!

All in all a quiet week so we will batten down as more storms and heavy rain are predicted later this week.

Snuggle up and enjoy your week and look forward to next weeks report.

PETER WON THE BET

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

THE CREEK IS RUNNING
Its about time - usually starts running in June so that is our indication how far behind we are.
I truly thought I had won the bet with Peter, I think he went home earlier than usual!!!!

RACING SATURDAY
BELMONT 23RD
AMELIAS DANCER
Glad to see Dancer back on the track, pulled a muscle last run but has recovered so hopefully will get through unscathed.

GOLF DRIVING RANGE
It is certainly getting a workout since Phil Matera has been staying with us. Also getting a good workout is Peter, burning the candle at both ends with Phil each night at the Wine Cellar. I am keeping a close eye on the next couple of nights, may have to put the Banned Sign on the Cellar Door.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE III
It is great news to see Adrian on board again keeping the Owners informed of the all the goings on with the Syndicate horses, he does a great job.

AMELIA PARK FARM
Can't believe everyone still clearing up and cutting up fallen trees, burning off and generally getting the farm back to its normally beautiful state.

Well the end of another week looming so enjoy and look forward to next week.

ALL QUIET AND COLD ON THE HOMEFRONT

Welcome to this weeks update.

HOW COLD HAS IT BEEN!
Its amazing as you get older how much more warm clothes, beanies, scarves you need when the cold weather comes in. I always think of the animals out there facing it while we are in our warm homes - so on with another scarf!!!

QUIET ON THE TRACK
All the horses are either resting or in training at the moment so I will keep you updated next week.

QUIET ON THE FARM
Peter is enjoying a relaxing time at home at the moment - I haven't heard of the next sojourn yet!

GUEST HOUSE
We have quite a few guests coming and going during these School holidays. At the moment Wes Cameron has been enjoying his break. Next week Phil Matera will be taking over so Peter is looking forward to catching up.

SUNDAY LUNCH
Glenn and I finally caught up with Peter and Annie on Sunday and spent a leisurely Lunch at Wise Winery in Dunsborough. It is located on a hill so you overlook the Bay - very picturesque. We then finished off at Eagle Bay Brewery for coffee and that also was enjoyable. We couldn't believe the amount of people at both venues at this time of the year - WE ARE CERTAINLY LUCKY WE LIVE IN THIS PART OF THE SOUTH WEST.

Enjoy your week and HAPPY RACING EVERYONE.

Peter is looking forward to this distance race which should suit Dancer. I believe he maybe going to the Races to cheer it home with a group of friends. I hope the day is a success for them all.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE 3
Peter advised that all Names are being sent in this week so within the next 2 weeks we will have all the Syndicate Horses Named. Looking forward to see what names get selected. We will keep you updated.

AMELIA PARK
You can't believe the mess that has been cleared and still the cleaning up continues. We are hoping thats the end of the Storms this season.

THE BIG HOUSE
The work on the House is progressing even more than Peter thought. He is very excited that it may be finished mid next year, he is itching to fill it with all his beautiful funiture and fittings. We also can't wait!!

I am not mentioning the CREEK this week!

I hope everyone enjoys their Racing this week and look forward to reporting next time.

TORNADO STRIKES AGAIN AT AMELIA PARK

Hello everyone, welcome to our disaster area.

AMELIA PARK COPS IT AGAINThere must be something about the Farm, what a disaster that ripped through during the week. We are so lucky that the horses are all ok. Large trees just snapping and falling, the paddock fences, the roads, POWERLESS FOR 2 DAYS - what a nightmare. All hands on deck to clear the large trunks and debris. Brett was on the main road at 4.30am chainsawing and clearing the road for all the workers coming thru.
AND THEN THERE IS THE CLEARING OF ALL THE SMALLER BRANCHES AND LEAVES which get stuck in fences, gardens, rooves, AND ALL OVER THE NORMALLY PRISTINE MANICURED GROUNDS. Oh well - as we say - NO ONE OR ANIMAL WAS INJURED!!
Peter gives full credit and thanks to all the staff for the handling of the horses during this horrid time.

RACING AT BELMONT
SATURDAY 2ND - RACE 5 AT 2.35PM
AMELIAS DANCER

Peter is really looking forward to another 1600m good performance. I will certainly be having a $ or 2. Good luck Dancer.

Peter has returned from his work trip to Korea and was very pleased with his heavy workload. I think he is home for just a little while before jetting off again.
Its a race between him and myself to see who is the first to REPORT the CREEK FULLY RUNNING. Its nearly there!

I do apologise for the late report but we were without Power both at home and work, so unfortunately its is back on so BACK TO WORK.

Have a great weekend and see you here next week.
