AMELIA PARK CYGNET SWAN REHABILITATION

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

RACING THIS WEEK

ASCOT WEDNESDAY 19TH

JESSICAS CHOICE - RACE 1
Peter is looking forward to seeing how this horse performs on 1st up. Hoping it is a tidy run.

RED TIME RUNNER - RACE 2
Red should give a good performance in this race.

Good luck to both horses.

AMELIA PARK
Glenn contacted the Fauna Group on Peters behalf after seeing an article in our Local that the Cygnet Swans were in trouble and Fauna were looking for somewhere to rehabilitate them. After inspecting Amelia Park 9 cygnets were delivered and have been fenced in at one of the dams. They have been fed twice a day and some were released this morning. What a gorgeous sight to see them testing their skills. Fauna, led by Beverley, delivered another 6 today and also have been penned for a few days to build up their strength. Beverley said Amelia Park is ideal for them because as they mature there are several dams they can move to and in the hope that they, or some of them may make it their home.
The Newspaper will be here on Friday to catch them on film and an article about them.
We are all so excited to be able to assist and watch them learning to stretch and flap and eventually make their own way in life.
Peter is so chuffed, he has always commented that he would LOVE BLACK SWAN AT AMELIA PARK.

I will keep you posted with their progress.

I hope everyone enjoys their upcoming weekend and good luck with your horse racing folks.

SURPRISE SURPRISE

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY
Peter had a lovely Surprise Party on Saturday Night. Daughter Samantha and Annie arranged for his family and friends to share his night which was a Movie Night Under the Stars. They had hired a huge Cinema Screen and everyone had a picnic in the Amphitheatre on a perfect night.
Peter was very moved with their effort and everyone did well in keeping it under wraps.
Our thanks for a great night.

ANOTHER QUIET RACING WEEK - Always this time of the year.
Amelias Gem will go for a spell, they still believe it can produce some good runs.

AMELIA PARK
Peter fare welled Darren McAulay and family, they have had a ball at the farm and were reluctant to pack their bags.

The Guest House I think will have a break for a few days - (apparently - we will see).

We certainly enjoyed the 40ml of rain last week, there is nothing like it, you can virtually watch everything grow. Now the hot weather has returned and its like it didnt happen.

A brief report this week so look forward to some news to report next week and I wish everyone who was lucky enough to be off during the Xmas/New Year break to ENJOY BEING BACK TO WORK like all of us.

regards

WE WELCOME 2011

Hello everyone and I look forward to reporting all the Racing and Events at Amelia Park for the coming year. I hope it doesn't go as fast as 2010, definitely must have skipped a few months there.

Peter thoroughly enjoyed seeing in the New Year and he hopes everyone did the same.

RACING RESULTS
AMELIAS GEM
Didn't make the grade on the day, keep trying!

QUIET RACING THIS WEEK
Nothing on the books this week, all busy preparing for the next few weeks. I will report on the happenings next week.

AMELIA PARK
As per previous report, the cars just keep coming and going.
I don't think the GUEST HOUSE has been vacant yet.
Peter is wearing a path around the Farm showing all his different Visitors the Tavern, Aviary, Day Spa, Cellars, new home construction, golf driving range, not to mention all the stables and horses, he is having a ball.

The Tavern is being decked out for Friday night as Peter is hosting party for 30 odd friends and colleagues. A late one I am thinking.

WE ALL SEND PETER LOTS OF VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR THE 8TH AND HOPE HE CONTINUES HIS CELEBRATING ON THE DAY.

I hope you all enjoyed your Festive Season and look forward to reporting next week.

FANTASTIC RESULTS

Welcome everyone and I hope you enjoy this weeks news and happenings from Amelia Park.

AMELIAS TIGER - FIRST

CONGRATULATIONS TO AMELIA PARK STAFF ON DOING A GREAT JOB WITH TIGER. ALSO CONGRATS TO LOU FOR AS ALWAYS GETTING IT ON THE TOP.

Peter was thrilled with this win, it is great to see all the good work pay off for everyone, a nice return as well. If only I had more than a couple of $ on it!!!

RED TIME RUNNER - SECOND

Another good result, Lou was pleased with the way Red handled the run.

AMELIAS DANCER - SECOND

And yet another good result.

LETS HOPE THESE RESULTS AND BETTER KEEP CONTINUING.

MARCELLUS - FLEMINGTON

Unfortunately was held up but performed well. This wont deter this great horse.

RACING THIS WEEK
BUNBURY SUNDAY 19TH
AMELIAS TIGER
Good Luck Tiger, lets hope you can repeat your performance.

AMELIA PARK
Peter has returned from China and was thrilled with his business results including WINE AND BEEF.
SYDNEY
He will fly out on Saturday but has promised he will be back in time to join in the Xmas Festivities at the Farm, we will tie him down if need be.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Lea has returned home to KL after completing this years School with TOP RESULTS in her fields. Peter was chuffed with her accomplishments this year. We will certainly miss her cheekiness.

THE 4 SELWOOD BROTHERS
The Guest House will be abuzz with the boys spending some quality time together and no doubt the Cellar's will get a good work out with Peter being his normal TOP HOST.

STABLE STAFF
Everyone is flat tack with a lot of ins and outs, Ruth is literally running, having the horses saddled and ready for Kristy and Tegan after each ride, all staff are putting in a great effort.

THE AVIARY
Glenn reports that all the beautiful birds are doing fine. We have another newcomer - Darby - A Sulphur Crest Cockatoo which he has hand fed and he is a little ripper. He is giving the Major Mitchells and Macaws plenty of jib and it is fun watching all their antics.

DAY SPA
I am still on the WAITING LIST for my massage and pampering, so if you are thinking about it - RING NOW!

I hope you enjoy the rest of this week, happy racing and see you next week.
