I do apologise for the lateness of the Amelia Park News, I have been back and forward to Perth and Peter has also been to Perth and also this week in Bali, so it has been difficult to catch up with Peter.

REMINDER TO ALL
MASSAGE & DAY SPA
The reports I personally have received from visitors to Amelia Park all say that Vicki is certainly worth return visits. THE PRESSURE POINTS that are worked on (if you want, or you can just have a normal Massage) they have found very helpful - with my list of pressure points to work on I can see I will have to have double time.

DIFFICULT 2 YEAR OLDS
Peter said when you have a bad run it continues. BUT after many discussions and meetings with Lou & Dion - they are going back to basics and both businesses will endeavour to revamp and go thru each horse and make decisions to get back on track. The 2 year olds are always difficult with injuries etc when in their learning years, but in this WONDERFUL GAME OF RACING - YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE GOOD WITH THE BAD.
PETER IS LOOKING FORWARD TO THE GOOD RETURNING!!!! AS IS EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH AMELIA PARK!!!

EASTER SALES IN SYDNEY
Peter is looking forward to these Annual Sales. He has 1 horse he hopes to sell at a top price, that will certainly help during these quiet - no winners - periods.

I did mention to Peter that it is SALES and not PURCHASES for him in Sydney.!!!!!

ANOTHER BUSY WEEK

RACING


BIG DAY ASCOT SATURDAY 17TH


2 SYNDICATE HORSES RACING:


DREAM MERGER & RUBACUORI


Adrian reported that these 2 need to run in the top 2 of their races to get a start in he Group 2 Karrakatta Plate. A large number of Syndicate Owners are travelling up to Ascot (unfortunately I can't go) but I know they will all be cheering them over the line.


Peter said he may be able to make it depending on commitments.

BUSY WEEK

Peter is enjoying having Darren stay over, and now Rob Wiley and Michael Brennan have arrived for a few days. They are going to the Bunbury Cup so I am sure the Cellar will get a good work out tonight!!

FIRST DAY AT POPPYS

Peter said it was great having COSTA for the day BUT HE SLEPT THE WHOLE TIME - JUST LIKE POPPY (Mum was pleased), enjoy it while it lasts Tegan.

We welcome Vicki and Yo Yo to the Day Spa. Peter has already had 2 massages and highly recommends Vicki, "VERY GOOD ON THE PRESSURE POINTS". Vicki has 10 years experience so the hands know exactly where to go.

STABLES

Kristy has returned from her well earned Holiday in Phuket, after a day back - " its as if you haven't been away". Aleece has travelled over to Bali for a few weeks to organise her Visa so she can return to trackwork here, we hope it all falls into place for her. Wanga is now on holidays so with 2 down its all in together.

TRIP HOME

Annie's Mum is returning home to China for a few weeks holiday to catch up with family and friends. We will miss her delivery of fresh picked fruit and vegetables every other day. I will have to find where her baskets are hidden!!

NEW ADDITION UNDERWAY

The Bowling Green is starting to take shape. Peter and I are discussing colours and names for our Bowling Outfits!!!!!! Can't wait.

Everything at Amelia Park is just great, everyone happy and everything flourishing - WE ARE LUCKY!!

THE STARS OUTSHONE THEMSELVES

Hello and welcome to this weeks News Update.





NIGHT UNDER THE STARS

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE
What a fantastic night it was. The night was perfect (as always when Peter has a function at the Farm), a great turnout of people and those magnificent STARS.


THE BAND WAS FANTASTIC - you couldn't help but dance as they played all our Music from the 60,70,80 & 90's. A Big THANKYOU TO THEM and also to Peter for again organising a great night.





REPRISAL - BUNBURY
Wasn't a disappointment, he definitely needs a good couple of months free time at Amelia Park and then into preparation for the next campaign. He is a great horse and there will be more wins in the future.





COSTA IS HOME
Peter announced that his Grandson has arrived home safely to Amelia Park. Brett and Tegan must be thrilled to be finally home so they can settle into being new Parents. I will be straight up there tonight for a cuddle. ENJOY YOUR NEW BABY!
Peter said the name was apt - Costa (he will costa lot in the coming years) - good one Poppy!!

RACING - BUNBURY
AMELIAS MOMENT - RACE 2
Peter is very much looking forward to this race, should show some good form here.

RIO MOONLIGHT - RACE 1
Peter and Syndicate Owners will be excited to see Rio on the track

CHARGE FORWARD - PETER IS VERY EXCITED TO SEE THIS HORSE HIT THE ASCOT TRACK.


Peter enjoyed a night with his good friend Lee (Mayo's Last Dancer), first to Drinks with the Governor and then onto Jacksons for Dinner. Lee has been asked to be THE CO-ORDINATOR FOR THE BRISBANE BALLET so it was certainly a special celebration.

NEXT WEEKS DIARY
Once again Peter will play Host each night - Darren McAulay and Wes Cameron will visit on Tuesday followed by Rob Wiley and Michael (monkey) Brennan on Wednesday and Thursday, they are coming down for the Bunbury Cup so that will be a LONG DAY TO END OFF AT AMELIA PARK.

FAREWELL TO PEGGY & IVAN
It is sad to see this lovely young couple leave Amelia Park to return to Taiwan. Peggy will be busy up to the day she leaves - Massaging til dark. We will all miss her strong hands especially the track riders who go each week to get relief.
We all wish them the very best of happiness.

Fortunately there is 2 new Staff for the Massage/Day Spa so we are lucky as it will continue on as before.

SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS TRIP

ONE TIRED DAD & SON & 1 BEAMING MUM

Welcome everyone to this weeks Report.

Firstly WELCOME HOME PETER and now known as POPPY PETE.

Peter was off the plane and then to the Hospital to see Baby Costa. Brett said Dad was speechless - just for a moment mind you - and then raved about his New Grandson. Costa and Mum hopefully will return home this coming week. He is doing everything right so the little chump will be up to everyone fussing and cuddling.

SUCCESS IN CHINA

Peter was very pleased with his dealings and has secured Contracts over the next years including Lamb, Beef and Wine.

RACING:

REPRISAL AT BUNBURY

SUNDAY 4TH

Peter is looking for a good result which will then determine the preparation for the Bunbury and Pinjarra Cups.

RIO MOONLIGHT - Syndicate Horse

Also running in Bunbury Race 5

That will give Syndicate Owners a few hours reprieve from the previous nights Concert.

NIGHT UNDER THE STARS SAT 3RD MARCH

The Weather should be fantastic, just right for DANCING. The Band that is performing will certainly have everyone up on the floor as it will include all the OLDIES - 60,70,80's. Everyone is looking forward to it. Get there early for a good spot!!!

WHAT EXCITEMENT AT AMELIA PARK, BRETT WAS WORKING AWAY AND TEGAN COMPLAINED OF A SLIGHT TWINGE, I BELIEVE THEY ONLY JUST MADE IT TO THE HOSPITAL ON TIME, LITTLE COSTA ARRIVED SOON AFTER.

THEY HAVE FLOWN HIM TO PERTH TO GIVE ALL THE CARE NEEDED FOR ONE SO YOUNG. EVERYONE SENDS THEIR LOVE TO BRETT & TEGAN AND ARE ARGUING WHO GETS THE FIRST CUDDLE. GLENN & I ARE THE OLDEST SO GUESS WHAT!!!

UNFORTUNATELY PETER IS STILL IN CHINA AND COUNTING THE DAYS TILL HE FLYS HOME NEXT WEEK. LITTLE COSTA WILL BE HOME BY THEN READY FOR HIS GRANDAD CUDDLE. ALL HIS WORK IN CHINA IS PROGESSING BETTER THAN EXPECTED SO KEEPING BUSY MAKES THE TIME GO QUICKER.

Still pretty quiet on the Racing front but very busy at Amelia Park and Luciani Stables so it is just a waiting game.

HOW MANY????

Greetings everyone.

PERTH MAGIC MILLIONS HORSE SALES

I haven't received a Report from Peter as yet but I am wondering firstly if he had a Sale but secondly HOW MANY DID HE BUY????

I look forward to hearing from Peter.

CHINA

Peter did leave the Sales and flew direct to China and he won't return until approx 28th of this month.

REPRISAL

Has just left Amelia Park and back to Perth for preparations. I will keep you updated with its progress.

SYNDICATE HORSES

All doing great, some trialling and some with a few injuries but all going very well. Dion and Lou report that they are more than happy with the younguns.

It was time to leave the Stable Team as Tegan is now to far gone in her pregnancy to be handling the horses.

It is getting exciting for her and Brett and we already miss Teg's happy smiling face. ALL THE VERY BEST TO YOU BOTH.

SATURDAY ASCOT

REPRISAL - RACE 5 - 1600M

Looking forward to this run with hopefully good result. They will then get the horse prepared for the upcoming Bunbury Cup.

Its great to see alot of the horses are now coming thru with their Trials so lots of racing ahead for the Syndicate.

PERTH SALES

Peter will be at the Sales next week, a couple for Sale so fingers are crossed for him, and he will get to catch up with friends in the Horse Industry.

CHINA

After the Sales Peter will leave for China on his annual business visit and will be away until the end of the month. Annie will also be there to catch up with family and friends so we hope they enjoy!!

JOCKEY'S DINNER AT AMELIA PARK

Peter hosted a Dinner last night with Dion, Jason Whiting and others, what a perfect night for them (weather wise).

Peter was thrilled with the evening. The place was full and everyone had a great night with delectable Amelia Park Food and Wines.
