Came in a tidy 2nd.  Lets hope the Winner in the next run.


SATURDAY 20TH
CAULFIELD - RACE 1
PETROLOGY
Very excited with this run, Damien Oliver jumping on the back so hope that is a good sign.



3 BABIES
Beautiful Foals, 2 here and 1 over East, all from very good stock.  Hopefully they will all shine in the next few years.




JESS OUTSHONE
Peter and Annie went to watch the Netball Grand Final, which Jess's team won.  I think a bit biased but they did beam that Jess played a major part in the win.

Jess has also been asked to compete in the State Hurdles so she is progressing in the sports category exceptionally well.  Mum and Dad chuffed for her.


HIGH TEA
Annie put on a lovely afternoon at the house.  Jennifer and Lyn from South Africa, Leah, Mamma, Annie, Mina and myself -  nice gathering.   The cup of tea was lovely but the MOET THAT FOLLOWED !!!!!!!!


HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME


Pete is loving being home for a couple of weeks, can't believe the suitcase is empty.


All the trees are starting to shoot and the Farm is looking amazing with this Spring Weather.

PETER IS ECSTATIC WITH JEREMY'S PERFORMANCE AGAIN, 'WHAT A FIND' HE COMMENTED AT LUNCH, HE IS SO THRILLED THAT HE IS ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH A TALENT IN HIS FIELD.
AMELIA PARK WINES HAVE COME A LONG WAY IN SUCH A SHORT TIME.

Apparently a good run and there is a lot more to come from this horse.  

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESS

We had a great night celebrating Jess's Birthday for Monday 8th.  Can't believe she is now 14, time flies.  Beautiful dinner (as usual) put on by Peter and Annie, lots of dancing and the one or many GLASSES OF RED!!! 


WINERY
This is really coming ahead, the HUGE Wine Making Building is nearing completion and all is on to plan.


NEWTOWN HOUSE
Plan should go to Council within the next week.  A huge contingent have been working there, clearing out and getting in readiness for works to commence.

Peter was very excited when telling me that NEIL JACKSON HAS VOLUNTEERED HIS SERVICES by coming to the Restaurant 3 TIMES A WEEK TO HELP OUT WHEN IT OPENS.

BUSSELTON IS VERY LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH A TALENTED CHEF COME TO TOWN, EARLY RESERVATIONS WILL BE A MUST!!!



   

Everything is going great at the Farm, the creek is flowing rapidly, but did suffer some very large branches down thru the Storms, no damage luckily.

SPRING TIME

What a beautiful site at the Farm, best time of the year.




SAD TIME
AMELIAS DANCER
Unfortunately at the last race Dancer had thumpers so its time for a WELL EARNED REST, home to the farm to enjoy.  Dancer has been a great horse and Peter is more than happy with past earnings AND GIVEN LOTS OF FUN  -   SO ENJOY!!


PETROLOGY

Both running next week so I will keep you posted.


PICKIN TIME  (FASTNET ROCK/GAMBEI FILLY)
MOONEE VALLEY -  SAT 6TH, RACE 6
This is the horse Peter sold and by all heresay it should be an absolute winner.


1ST BIRTHDAY FOR DAKOTA
We can't believe she is 1 already, how time flies.  We had a lovely Party at the Tavern on Sunday, Brett and Tegan put on a lovely afternoon and Dakota had us all enthralled with her antics, what a cutie!!!


GOOD FRIENDS AT THE FARM
David Rodwell, his wife Rita and Sister Jennifer spent the weekend with Peter at the Farm and plenty of WINE was had by all.  It was great that David's visit from South Africa fell on the same weekend as we all got to see them at the Party.
Jennifer is staying on for a time so will be great company.


NEWTOWN HOUSE

 A GREAT READ IN THE LOCAL WITH PETER VERY EXCITED WITH HIS PLANS ON NEWTOWN HOUSE,  THE LOCALS WILL BE CHUFFED.
ANOTHER WINNER FOR PETER.


A BIG THANKYOU
I must tell you all that I was so excited last week, Peter took me to HIS BOX AT THE EAGLES, it was wonderful to watch our boys win the game and see COXY play his last game at Home (apparently).  The Box is fantastic and especially being spoilt as I was.

Peter is looking forward to spending some time at home so he can get his teeth into the Winery and Newtown House and hopefully some relaxing time!!!!

FANTASTIC RAINFALL

HOME AT LAST FOR A DECENT STAY

Peter is pleased he can stay home (at this stage) for a few weeks to catch up.  He looks forward to some quality time at the Farm.


PETROLOGY
Peter was still very pleased with this run.  QUALITY FIELD so Petrology still performed well.

WE HAD IT ALL

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.


STORM, LIGHTNING, THUNDER,TREES DOWN

That was certainly unexpected.  Lost some huge trees on the farm which is sad.  Luckily where they fell they did not cause any damage.  JUST THE BIG CLEAN UP NOW.



RACING RESULTS:

Although not at the Winning Finish line Peter and Trainers were all happy with the runs, few hold ups etc so all in all they were reasonable at the end.

This horse is ready to fire, Peter really looking forward to this campaign.




Peter is currently in Mongolia and will return on Saturday, ready for the Races and THE EAGLES.

HE WILL THEN SPEND 5 WEEKS (HE HOPES) AT THE FARM AFTER A VERY BUSY COUPLE OF MONTHS.



Just heard the Weather Report and I think its coming again tonight - hope not as bad!!!!

PETER ARRIVED HOME FROM MELBOURNE LAST NIGHT, HAD A VERY GOOD BUSINESS TRIP AND IS OFF AGAIN ON SUNDAY TO MONGOLIA FOR THE WEEK.

HE ACTUALLY GOT TO A GAME AND THOROUGHLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE GOOD STANDARD OF PLAY  'FOR A CHANGE' .   HE LIKED THAT THEY HAD DIRECTION AND HOPES THAT IT CONTINUES.

AMELIA PARK
OWEN HAS JUST RETURNED FROM HOLIDAYS AND NOW WANGA IS AWAY IN BROOME FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS RECREATION, MASON IS IN NEW ZEALAND WITH ALOT OF THE WALSH CLAN, CELEBRATING PETERS NEPHEWS BIRTHDAY.

PETER WAS PLEASED TO SEE HIS GOOD FRIEND JENNIFER ARRIVE SAFELY FROM SOUTH AFRICA.
SHE REALLY ENJOYED HER FIRST GAME OF FOOTBALL PETER SAID.
SHE HAS GONE OFF TO BALI AND WILL RETURN IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS TO STAY FOR A TIME.  WE LOOK FORWARD TO CATCHING UP WITH HER.

CHINA DEAL SIGNED AND SEALED WITH GRAND FARM

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.



SIGNING COMPLETE WITH MR CHEN

WHAT AN EXTREMELY EXCITING AND MOVING OCCASION.

Peter offered his HOME for the SPECIAL AGREEMENT FINALISATION and they are so excited with this BREAKTHROUGH DEAL with his LONG TIME FRIEND AND PARTNER - MR CHEN.

The afternoon and evening was a huge success with the Minister Ken Baston, Department of Agriculture Heads, Chines Consulate Members, Television, Newspapers, Family and chosen friends in attendance.

Peter also gives his warm thanks and gratitude to LINDA - HEAD OF THEIR BEIJING OFFICE, FOR ASSISTING IN THIS $1BILLION DEAL.

Peter also gives a warm thankyou to ANNIE who played a large part in INTERPRETING between Parties.

They will begin exports to Grand Farm in China from October.

Justin said it was unlucky run last week but with this barrier draw there is no reason why Songburg cant bring it home.  GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

Justin is absolutely thrilled with her performance so far.

Adam Durrant said doing everything right and can't wait to get Pants in the running.

AMELIA PARK AWARD WENT TO 3 YEAR OLD IHTSAHYMN (ALSO WA RACEHORSE OF THE YEAR).
ADAM DURRANT WON THE CHAMPION  TRAINER AWARD - CONGRATULATIONS.

Peter said it was a Fantiastic Event and gives praise to Macca for an outstanding night that he totally organised - very professional!!

EXCITING NEWS:
Peter said next year AMELIA PARK will be THE OFFICIAL SPONSORS FOR THE KARRAKATTA CUP DAY, THE BIGGEST DAY ON THE CALENDER.


THE WEEK AHEAD

Peter will host another group of Clients from Friday, then onto Perth for the Football and then flies out to Melbourne on Monday for several days.

HE MAKES ME TIRED !!!!!
