ANOTHER TREE HITS THE DECK

Hi everyone and welcome to this weeks WET report.

Awoke this morning to yet another large tree falling. If this continues we won't have any big shady trees left for Summer. More cleaning up and repairing fences. The staff won't be happy.
The Shire are still trying to clear all the debris from the last storm, the Farm still has large trees that have fallen thru horse fences that need to be cleared away and fences repaired, the staff have to keep moving the horses around as those paddocks can't be used.

AMELIAS DANCER
3RD AT BELMONT 16TH
I believe all were quite happy with Dancers run after coming back from an injury. I will keep you posted with the next run.

KUALA LUMPUR
Peter flew out on the weekend for some business to attend to and should be returning later this week. I didn't get a chance to catch up so will wait and get the full report for next week.

The Matera family have left and apparently had a very enjoyable time at the farm. Look forward to seeing them again.

SYNDICATE III
We are all trying to guess which Names the Horses have been allotted, we hope of course that they are the ones we all named, should hear soon.

EAGLES HEART STOPPER WIN
The game is never over until the siren goes. That certainly was true at the Derby!!

All in all a quiet week so we will batten down as more storms and heavy rain are predicted later this week.

Snuggle up and enjoy your week and look forward to next weeks report.

PETER WON THE BET

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks Report.

THE CREEK IS RUNNING
Its about time - usually starts running in June so that is our indication how far behind we are.
I truly thought I had won the bet with Peter, I think he went home earlier than usual!!!!

RACING SATURDAY
BELMONT 23RD
AMELIAS DANCER
Glad to see Dancer back on the track, pulled a muscle last run but has recovered so hopefully will get through unscathed.

GOLF DRIVING RANGE
It is certainly getting a workout since Phil Matera has been staying with us. Also getting a good workout is Peter, burning the candle at both ends with Phil each night at the Wine Cellar. I am keeping a close eye on the next couple of nights, may have to put the Banned Sign on the Cellar Door.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE III
It is great news to see Adrian on board again keeping the Owners informed of the all the goings on with the Syndicate horses, he does a great job.

AMELIA PARK FARM
Can't believe everyone still clearing up and cutting up fallen trees, burning off and generally getting the farm back to its normally beautiful state.

Well the end of another week looming so enjoy and look forward to next week.

ALL QUIET AND COLD ON THE HOMEFRONT

Welcome to this weeks update.

HOW COLD HAS IT BEEN!
Its amazing as you get older how much more warm clothes, beanies, scarves you need when the cold weather comes in. I always think of the animals out there facing it while we are in our warm homes - so on with another scarf!!!

QUIET ON THE TRACK
All the horses are either resting or in training at the moment so I will keep you updated next week.

QUIET ON THE FARM
Peter is enjoying a relaxing time at home at the moment - I haven't heard of the next sojourn yet!

GUEST HOUSE
We have quite a few guests coming and going during these School holidays. At the moment Wes Cameron has been enjoying his break. Next week Phil Matera will be taking over so Peter is looking forward to catching up.

SUNDAY LUNCH
Glenn and I finally caught up with Peter and Annie on Sunday and spent a leisurely Lunch at Wise Winery in Dunsborough. It is located on a hill so you overlook the Bay - very picturesque. We then finished off at Eagle Bay Brewery for coffee and that also was enjoyable. We couldn't believe the amount of people at both venues at this time of the year - WE ARE CERTAINLY LUCKY WE LIVE IN THIS PART OF THE SOUTH WEST.

Enjoy your week and HAPPY RACING EVERYONE.

Peter advised that all Names are being sent in this week so within the next 2 weeks we will have all the Syndicate Horses Named. Looking forward to see what names get selected. We will keep you updated.

AMELIA PARK
You can't believe the mess that has been cleared and still the cleaning up continues. We are hoping thats the end of the Storms this season.

The work on the House is progressing even more than Peter thought. He is very excited that it may be finished mid next year, he is itching to fill it with all his beautiful funiture and fittings. We also can't wait!!

TORNADO STRIKES AGAIN AT AMELIA PARK

Hello everyone, welcome to our disaster area.

AMELIA PARK COPS IT AGAINThere must be something about the Farm, what a disaster that ripped through during the week. We are so lucky that the horses are all ok. Large trees just snapping and falling, the paddock fences, the roads, POWERLESS FOR 2 DAYS - what a nightmare. All hands on deck to clear the large trunks and debris. Brett was on the main road at 4.30am chainsawing and clearing the road for all the workers coming thru.
AND THEN THERE IS THE CLEARING OF ALL THE SMALLER BRANCHES AND LEAVES which get stuck in fences, gardens, rooves, AND ALL OVER THE NORMALLY PRISTINE MANICURED GROUNDS. Oh well - as we say - NO ONE OR ANIMAL WAS INJURED!!
Peter gives full credit and thanks to all the staff for the handling of the horses during this horrid time.

RACING AT BELMONT
SATURDAY 2ND - RACE 5 AT 2.35PM
AMELIAS DANCER

Peter is really looking forward to another 1600m good performance. I will certainly be having a $ or 2. Good luck Dancer.

Peter has returned from his work trip to Korea and was very pleased with his heavy workload. I think he is home for just a little while before jetting off again.
Its a race between him and myself to see who is the first to REPORT the CREEK FULLY RUNNING. Its nearly there!

I do apologise for the late report but we were without Power both at home and work, so unfortunately its is back on so BACK TO WORK.

Have a great weekend and see you here next week.

CELEBRATIONS AT THE FARM

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

IT'S AMELIA TIME FOR RACING

AMELIAS DANCER WILL RETURN NEXT WEEK and looking forward to another great run.
AMELIAS TIGER, AMELIAS MOMENT, AMELIAS DELIGHT will all be in the running in the next few weeks, will keep you posted.

GONE AGAIN

Peter left in the early hours of Monday to fly to KOREA on business for the week.

EAGLES GREAT WIN
Peter had a great day on Sunday being entertained by the Eagles Management and Barry thoroughly enjoyed it all - as you would!!! Lets hope they continue with their good form!

CELEBRATIONS
It was a twofold event at the Farm on Saturday.
Brett enjoyed a gathering for his Birthday which also included the Henchie Family who celebrated the birth of RYAN & GEMMA'S NEW SON - ANDRE - A HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. I believe a great day and evening was had when I saw the Cleaners there on Sunday - I wont say who they were!!!!!!!!!

BACK TO WORK
We welcomed Tegan back to work today after spending 2 weeks in Bali. I haven't heard the goss yet as now Kristy in on leave Tegan is flat strap at the Stables. I think a glass of champers this week to swap all our news.
I forgot to mention my great girlie Melbourne Holiday - what a hoot!!!!
As we say - 'What happens in Bali & Melbourne - stays in Bali & Melbourne'.

STILL WAITING
All that know the Farm are asking if the CREEK IS RUNNING - Sadly NOT YET, a few puddles here and there, the first to spy it gets the prize!!!!!!!

BLACK SWANS
We are chuffed that 7 of our baby Swans have now found a niche at the Lake and wander around feeely. It will be fantastic if they make the Farm their home.
Glenn is also getting excited as quite a few of the birds are making their nests ready and 1 pair of the Eclectus Parrots have mated and the female is sitting, so here's hoping for babies. Can't wait to tell Peter!

Thats all the current news at AMELIA PARK so look forward to next week and reporting to you all.

kind regards

DANCED HOME

Greetings everyone and welcome to our News and Events.

AMELIAS DANCER - F I R S T
SAT 11/6

What a FANTASTIC RUN, congratulations must go to Jason & Lou on a great race plan. To watch the race was joy and Dancer certainly danced on home. MORE TO COME!

BELMONT 8/6
BOTH OUTSPOKEN LADY & AMELIAS MOMENT were very disappointing. Still trying to work that out as they should have had a better result.

RACING BELMONT WEDNESDAY 15/6
AMELIAS DELIGHT - RACE 3
Peter is looking forward to some results from this horse.
AMELIA TIGER - RACE 5
Running reasonably well, gradually increasing over the distance.

TIME OUT ON THE WEEKEND
Peter spent a very relaxing weekend after arriving home from Singapore and then straight into entertaining for the rest of the week. The doors were all locked so he couldn't escape.
Another busy week has started and then he is off to the Eagles Match as a Special Guest and he is taking lucky Barry (his Driver) with him who is a diehard supporter, then flys out to Korea and Indonesia on business. He will enjoy the warmth away I'm sure.

DOWNPOUR
We certainly got what we wished for last night with receiving a huge downpour. Unfortunately we also got the severe winds so it is a big clean up with fallen trees, branches, and OH THOSE LEAVES. WE ARE EAGERLY WAITING AND WATCHING FOR THE RIVER TO START RUNNING!!

STABLES
Standing on my verandah I really feel for the Riders (and Horses)as I watch them starting out in the dark cold windy mornings. They are a truly dedicated bunch (and YOUNG).

HOLIDAYS
Our Stable Manager - Kristy leaves this weekend for a well earned rest for 2 weeks, jetting off to Phuket so she is making us very aware of what attire has been packed for this trip (bathers etc) lucky thing. ENJOY YOUR BREAK.

RETURN FROM CHINA & BALI
Sammy returns today from doing errands for Peter in China and Bali with great results. Tegan also returns today from Bali - can't wait to hear their stories!!!

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE NO 3
All the horses are being educated and they are all coming along nicely according to Dion who spends a great deal of time of them. They are a hoot to watch in the paddocks when frolicing about.

BIRTHDAY WISHES
BRETT WALSH

We all look forward to having a Birthday Cheer drink with Brett on Friday and hope he enjoys his weekend of celebrating.

That wraps the news for this week and look forward to advising updates next week.

Regards to all

Shelley ( GOOD LUCK MIKE! )
