What a fantastic run, everyone has commented on the great quick run home, shame about the barrier draw. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL. We all hope this performance will continue!

ANNUAL RACE DAY VENTURE - WALSHY, WANGA & NOEL

Peter left in Arthur the Limo at 8am Saturday morning, cracked the 1st at Caple, apparently had a great day at the Races - apparently saw the Race!!!!! - somehow finished up at a Cigar Bar in Perth with Phil and Wally Matera and arrived back at the Farm at midnight. I did receive a Peter Walsh singing rendition of the Rolling Stones on my Mobile as they were heading home - What a Voice Pete!!!!!!

He said he enjoyed reading the Sunday Times to see the results of that race - oops!!

A group of the Syndicate Members celebrated at Amelia Park on Sunday afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed a game of Tennis, Golf and quite a few ales.

I was running late for work this morning, driving past the last paddock I nearly ran off the road, it was a fantastic sight. Each of the 5 Mares were standing next to their Foals who were all laying down in the morning sun. What a memorable sight!!!! Typical Mothers watching out for their young! NO CAMERA ON BOARD.

REPRISAL

Up at Lou's getting some extra prep work and then back to Amelia Park to get ready for the Bunbury/Pinjarra Cups. I will keep you informed.

Peter is hosting a get together with approximately 30 of the Busselton Team HE COACHED IN THE 80's on Friday night. CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE THE STORIES. I wonder if the Jumpers still fit!!

SUCCESS AT MAGIC MILLION SALES

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News Update.

MAGIC MILLION SALES BRISBANE

FASTNET ROCK/LEITMOTIF

SOLD - $260,000

Peter, Brian and John were thrilled with the result of this Sale. They did celebrate and celebrate well as well as having Dinner with Peter Moody - Trainer of Black Caviar - was certainly the end of a great trip.

PETER IS NOW LOOKING FORWARD TO THE EASTER SALES

RUBACUORI

RAN A GREAT 2ND IN THE TRIALS and is now ready for real racing. I don't think it will run this week SO LOOKING TO NEXT WEEK, I will keep you informed.

Everyone is very excited about this horse, it will suit the 1100m better and should hit the line well. I have heard quite a number of Syndicate Members will be there to BRING IT HOME. Peter said he will definitely be there.

AMELIA PARK

Darren spent a great couple of days here with the Family and soaked up the peaceful surroundings, he said it is just so nice to get away from the track for a while - its amazing what just a few days can do to regenerate the system - especially staying here.

Sharon has now spent a few days here and first time trip blew her away. Sharon is now employed by Peter to work on all the bookwork for the Farm so its good to see how it all comes together by visiting and becoming acquainted with everyone.

We enjoyed a few quiet drinks at the tavern last night.

Peter is now home until February so he is looking forward to just relaxing at the Farm, I might have to give him the shovel, wheelbarrow and hoe and send him off on some jobs!!!!!!

We hope you had a fantastic NEW YEAR CELEBRATION - HOW ARE ALL THE NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS PROGRESSING?????? I gave up years ago!.

AMELIA PARK CELEBRATIONS

Peter has had a very very busy entertaining time of it. A lot of guests coming and going, I think Rob Wiley is the winner!!

The Tavern was certainly rocking every night.

Then the Karaoke Machine arrived for New Years. EVERYONE IS A ROCK STAR!!!

It is certainly humorous to listen to - night after night....................... I think Jessica outshone them all - maybe a STAR in the making!!! Rob don't give up your day job.

I think Rob Wiley will actually be vacating the Farm this weekend after his wonderful holiday here, HE SAYS NO BUT THE FAMILY SAY YES PLUS THE OTHER NEW GUESTS WILL BE WAITING OUTSIDE THE GATES EARLY AM. Sorry Rob but we are sure you will be back IN NO TIME AT ALL.

David Law I think Rob may pip you at the post of loving the Farm more!!!!!!

RACING

MARCELLUS - FLEMINGTON

What a devastating blow to both Horse, Owners and Trainer. After being out for 12 months after doing a tendon, Marcellus came back strong, bought home a 2nd and in this race has unfortunately done another tendon. The horse will be put back in the paddock to see where it goes from there.

WEEKEND OF BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS FOR PETER

The Family will spend a night fine dining at NEWTOWN HOUSE which is one of Peters favourite Restaurants in Vasse.

His very good mates Wally Unger and Mitch from South Africa will be here on Saturday for a Picnic Luncheon at the Cellar - I repeat LUNCHEON PETER!!!!

That will complete a full weekend and then Peter flys out to Brisbane on Monday for the Magic Millions. Lot 85 is on the books and Peter is looking forward to a Sale AND CATCHING UP WITH ALL THE GOSSIP!

THE HOUSE RESUMES

All Workers back on deck next week so our quiet time will end and the never ending vehicles and trucks will resume. Can't believe THIS YEAR THE MANSION WILL BE COMPLETE.

A few people driving by the Farm have commented to me that at the moment it is a treat as there are mares and their foals in the main large paddock on the main road and they are actually pulling over to admire these beautiful animals. PETER LOVES HEARING PEOPLE ENJOYING THE HORSES.

I did have a wonderful day at the Perth Cup as did 1000's of others. A Little Tip for beginners - $6.00 Mystery Ticket called SHUT THE GATE - is a good one to use, well it worked for me anyway!!!!

BRING IT ON 2012 RACING SEASON

Welcome everyone to this last report of 2011!!!

We hope everyone thoroughly enjoyed their Festivities, like us - ATE TO MUCH, DRANK TO MUCH - BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL!

FLEMINGTON 2ND JANUARY

It will be exciting in this 2nd up race at 1400m. They do think 1400-1600m will suit this horse better but look forward to this race.

RUBICOR - TRIAL MONDAY WEEK

SYNDICATE HORSE - Everyone is looking to this horse to trial well.

REPRISAL

Doing very well and putting on weight. Forever confident with this horse. Doing alot of work on both the tracks.

Peter has made another track apart from the Belmont size Training Track. This new track is on Brett's property thru the bush so it gives the horses some different style of training.

AMELIAS DANCER

Now back at Lou's and going exceptionally well. Dancer is the best its looked and has settled in nicely. Peter and Lou will expect some good racing yet to come.

GOLD COAST MAGIC MILLIONS

Peter is off next week to the Sales which will hopefully see a sale for him. Best of Luck Peter.

AMELIA PARK

Rob Wiley and Family have settled in at the Guest House and are never still. Each morning we watch Rob out in front of the running squad, all doing their bit, then back to the Gym, Sauna,Spa and it goes on........

NEW YEARS EVE

Peter is hosting friends and family at the Tavern to toast in the New Year which I have to say he has never talked about the upcoming racing season so much as now. 2012 IS GOING TO BE THE YEAR!!!!!!

I am off to the PERTH CUP with a group of Ladies so the frocks and hats get to have an airing, I will do my best to represent Amelia Park.

TIS THE SEASON TO BE JOLLY

A HAPPY AND SAFE CHRISTMAS

AND A WONDERFUL 2012 TO FOLLOW

The Countdown has started - 3 MORE SLEEPS before Santa arrives.

Peters countdown started well before this.

It began on Friday Night with a Dinner for his immediate family followed by the Annual Walsh Family Camp at Gregs property on Saturday. Father Christmas was found hiding in the Trees and Peter remarked he didn't know who had the most fun - I think the Adults get more of a kick out of it!

Then Sunday saw Peter have an enjoyable Dinner with Darren and Wes, Peter said it was great to catch up with them before the busy Season.

Monday he had a visit from Damien Oliver with Trish, Pat and the kids. Damien is recovering from an operation so he is looking forward to hopefully being back in the saddle mid January - Peter commented that maybe he will ride Marcellus for him on his return.

Next - Peter will have a Christmas Eve Dinner for the 'Orphans' at the Farm - Abbas from India, Peggy from Taiwan, Aliece from France and Owen from Perth. He certainly looks after his staff.

I believe a quiet Christmas Day will follow - BUT THEN its all on - Rob Wiley and all the crew will arrive for the next week or so. Peter make sure the Panadol is at hand!!!!!!!

Peter sends his best wishes to all his Staff and thanks them for the wonderful jobs they do and it is a great environment at Amelia Park that has been created.

Peter is so excited about 2012 where all the Youngsters will get to show their form. He has had a big cleanout and truly believes that with the excellent Bloodlines coming thru - 2012/13 IS GOING TO BE A RACING WINNER OF A SEASON.

AMELIA PARK SYNDICATE

Peter is also confident with the horses that will be on the track next year - RUBACORI will be the first for the new year and they are planning on progressing to the Magic Millions for a THIRD WIN.

ANNUAL SYNDICATE CONCERT AT AMELIA PARK - MARCH 3RD

It will again be held in March for Syndicate Members and I will keep you regularly informed with the happenings. KEEP IT IN THE DIARY!!!

WEEKEND CAMPING
Peter and the Walsh Clan are camping at Greg's Farm in Margaret River. This is their Annual Xmas get together so a great weekend will be had.
