RESULT - 4TH
End of this campaign, now comes home for a well earned rest.  Peter and Justin were pleased with the overall performance.

HUE AND CRY

BUNBURY
Good run and look forward to next week.


PERTH SALES
Peter did very well and only purchased 2 Horses.  Adam Durant and Justin Warwick will take 1 each and Simon Miller couldn't get the one he fancied so he will look towards Melbourne.
Exciting times ahead.


OFF TO CHINA:
Peter has left and will meet Annie and Sammy over there for some serious shopping.  I hope he finds my list I snuck in !!!!

LOTS OF RACING AT LAST

Simon Miller reported to Peter that even though it was 6th placed the horse had an enormous run and he was pleased.

Justin and Peter very happy with the run from Songburg.  Only 3/4 length from the winning window.

PANTS ON FRIAR

Friar looked good but peaked early, reports say it will be hard to beat on Saturday week.

Hoping for a good run and a celebration!!


SALES ON MONDAY
Peter will be attending the Sales and he assures me he will only be looking to PURCHASE A FEW HORSES!!!!


With Peter's NEW DIRECTION THIS YEAR, he will also have ADAM DURANT Training for him as well as JUSTIN WARWICK AND SIMON MILLER.  Looks a GREAT COMBINATION!!

Peter said to keep a watch on the News next week, he will advise that there maybe some Small Shares in some horses he will be offering. He will explain further details then.


AMELIA PARK
Peter is still telling stories about the old Homestead which has gone, but new stories to follow with the commencement of the Stables Accommodation, Office and Lunchroom next week.

WINERY  Its full steam ahead which everyone is excited about.
NEWTOWN HOUSE
Peter has had meetings with the Heritage Committee and will take his time with the renovations, making sure everything meets with their Heritage requirements.

CHINA
Annie leaves for China this weekend and is taking Mamma with her for a break.  Peter and Sammy will join her next week and they will also start sourcing for new Furnishings that will be required for the Winery and Restaurant.

Justin is keen to see how this horse performs in this race.  Peter is also very keen to watch Songburg.

Justin Warwick has taken over the reins, arrived very sore so Justin will try lots of beach work in the next few weeks and hopefully if nothing serious we will see a turn around.


ITS QUIET ALREADY
Jesse left Saturday for her new venture at St. Hilda's.  It will take a while to get used to not having her around, especially on the back of the ute with Rascal helping Abbas to feed the horses, you could always hear her laughing and yelling above the music Abbas has playing.
I know Annie was upset but said Jesse seems very happy and looking forward to the challenge.

I know Peter will also miss her, he was always kidding around with her, WHO'S GOING TO PLAY THE PIANO!!!!

SONGBURG FEATURES AGAIN

Hello and welcome everyone to this weeks News from Amelia Park.

SONGBURG - 3RD
In the winning circle again, Peter can't ask for more. Justin is doing a mighty job with Songburg and the other Owners are absolutely thrilled.


PANTS ON FRIAR - 1ST
AT LAST - WHAT A GUTSY RUN, came from well behind and trouble on the turn and then came home magnificently.  Peter said the field was weak but ITS A WIN, THE SYNDICATE WOULD BE VERY PLEASED.


PETER WILL BE FORWARDING A REPORT TO ALL SYNDICATE MEMBERS NEXT WEEK WITH THE STATE OF PLAY FOR THE SYNDICATE, ALL GOOD POSITIVE NEWS.


BARELY RICH
7TH AT BUNBURY
PETER AND OWEN WERE PLEASED WITH THE RUN OVERALL, OWEN DOING A GOOD JOB WITH THESE HORSES.


FAREWELL TO JESSICA
It is a sad time at the Farm as Jesse leaves tomorrow to start her Boarding at St. Hilda's in Perth.  But it is a happy time for Jesse in the next stage of her life.
We all wish her the very best and look forward to seeing her on her next visit to the Farm.


Peter has just ordered the new Treadmill which will come from Germany.  Once that arrives, together with the commencement of building of the Staff Quarters, Office and Lunchroom, PETER SAYS THAT IS THE FINAL WORKS FOR AMELIA FARM.  (SO HE SAYS NOW!!!!!) 


Today Peter made the final sign off on the start to the NEW BUILDING TO BE ERECTED FOR THE AMELIA PARK WINERY.  IT WILL COMMENCE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS SO EVERYONE IS VERY EXCITED WITH PETERS NEW VENTURE.

WATCH OUT ON THE ROAD  -  Leah has passed her Driving Test !!!!!!!!


A DROP OF RAIN,
As I am writing this we have just had a one off lovely shower of rain, not much but won't complain.


CHINESE NEW YEAR
WE HAD A BEAUTIFUL HOME COOKED CHINESE MEAL BY ANNIE'S MUM LAST NIGHT TO HELP CELEBRATE THE "YEAR OF THE HORSE"  THIS SURELY IS A SIGN FOR PETER'S LUCK THIS YEAR!!!!!

PETER IS VERY HAPY WITH THE RESULT AND CONGRATULATIONS TO JUSTIN ON HIS TRAINING UP SONGBURG.

Peter has decided that now Speical Harvest has come good from coming home sore, Justin will take over the reins of Training so Peter hopes to see some change.

All the best to Owen for Monday, Peter is hoping to see some results with this run.

SAD FOR THE HOMESTEAD
Peter didnt stay long when the old House came down today.  Lots of great memories and stories he has told us when he was growing up but unfortunately it was not suitable for renovation.
Now a new abode for Abbas and his family together with Stable Office and Lunchroom will be erected which is needed.

MASSAGE/DAY SPA
Mina has joined Amelia Park, she has arrived from Japan with very good referral and is looking forward to working at the Day spa.

Peter enjoyed his break at the House but now fully charged and back into it.
Annie has taken Jesse to Perth this week to organise Uniforms, Books etc for her new vernture at St. Hildas.

FULL PADDOCKS
Peter is very pleased to see the paddocks full again, all his Brood Mares are home as well.  There is nothing like driving thru the farm and each paddock has a horse to greet you.

WINERY PLANS COMPLETE
Peter is thrilled that the Plans have been completed and is keen for the work to commence on the new Buildings.

NEWTOWN HOUSE
Plans are being drawn up on the revamp of the Restaurant under the guidance of  Neil Jackson who will oversee the program.  Peter said he wants HIGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE FOOD AND DRINKS that will cater for Families.  We are all excited as it is a stones throw from the Farm !!!!!


XMAS PLANNING
CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT
The Bunbury Choir have asked to play at the Farm for this Christmas, that will be a beautiful setting at the House.

ANOTHER CELEBRITY
Peter said he has some friends who have spoken to David Helfgoff to maybe come to the Farm to Piano Play sometime during the year.  ITS ALL GOING TO HAPPEN AT AMELIA PARK THIS YEAR.

HOLIDAY IN BALI

BALI - LOTS OF THINKING

Peter has just spoken to me and said he has had a fantastic week just relaxing by the pool BUT DOING LOTS OF THINKING AND MADE LOTS OF DECISIONS.

HE IS CERTAINLY LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE CHALLENGES AHEAD THIS YEAR, INCLUDING THE RESTAURANT AND THE WINERY.


MAGIC MILLION SALE
Peter was thrilled with the sale of a Yearling - Fastnet Rock/Hifalutin.  They received more than they expected, so $260,000 was a real BONUS.
