OFF TO THE RACES

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks report.

Unfortunately another quiet week of racing but Peter reports that in the next couple of weeks we will actually be reporting on the upcoming race meetings and we will then see quite a lot of the horses ready for their campaigns.

In the meantime Outspoken Lady will be Trialling on Monday and Peter is looking forward to watching her performance.

ANOTHER HOPEFUL CHAMPION JUST BORN

LADY SHERIFA/DEHAER - We welcome a Filly which has been sired by the best in Australia so this one will be a good one to follow in the next couple of years.

EXCITING SATURDAY RACE DAY - WHAT TO WEAR!!
Its getting closer and we are all looking forward to a get together with Peter. He has kindly booked us into the Duxton Hotel so no doubt a late night for most back at the bar.

AMELIA PARK
We welcome RUTH on board to the Farm who has completed her probation time working at the stables. Christy and Tegan reported that Ruth is an excellent worker and has fitted into the job nicely.

Christy is due back this week (just in time for the Races) after having a break in Broome. We are not looking forward to seeing the sun tan but looking forward to her return. Tegan has held the reins and done a mighty job.

THE FISHERMAN
Peter has spent the last 2 weekends out fishing with Brett. He has been bragging about the great catches of crabs, king george whiting and squid. I am waiting for the invite to help him devour the catch.

He also enjoyed Rob Wileys company on the weekend who had time out to make a visit to the Farm.

FLORA & FAUNA

Glenn reported a family of 3 BLACK SWANS have been spending time at the Lake Islands inside the Race Track. We are hoping they will colonise and remain for generations to come.

AVIARY
It is certainly hotting up in several of the cages where the Cocks are strutting their stuff and getting their nesting boxes in readiness for the breeding season. Its amazing to watch how each different species go about their business and the way they entice the Hens. Glenn is looking forward to Amelia Parks first produce.

Enjoy your week and maybe catch you at the Races on Saturday!!

regards

Shelley
