FANTASTIC WEEKEND

Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia park.

FANTASTIC WEEKEND HOSTED BY V & V WALSH
JACKSONS RESTAURANT
Peter said the night was a huge success (as with every year).  Neil Jackson and staff put on another tantalising menu and Peter thanks Neil for his professional manner.
I didn't hear of to many sore heads for the next day.

ASCOT SATURDAY
What a wonderful day it was.  The setting was outstanding and the food and wines (Amelia Park Lamb of course) was scrumptious.
Peter thoroughly enjoyed hosting his good friend and Business partner from China MR CHEN and his Management team.  NUMBER 1 IN CHINA - LINDA,  Linda looks after Peter's & Gregs business interests in China  also made the trip over, it was a delight to see her again.  She had a great time translating with lots of laughs between everyone.
Annie was kept very busy showing the Guests how to fill in the Race Cards - most of the Chinese hadn't been to a race meeting before so they absolutely enjoyed it.

CONGRATULATIONS TO PHIL MATERA - Owner of  Red Mercedes and trained by VERN BROCKMAN.  A great win and great celebrations were had on the day.  Peter was overjoyed for them both.
The only sad bit on the day (heeheehee!!) was that WANGA missed out on being drawn from the barrel, Peter really made that an item of the day.
I personally thank Peter for inviting us to share the wonderful days event.

RACING
PINJARRA
RUBACUORI - RACE 1
1600M
Bad luck again with wide barrier draw but Lucas Camilleri will give it his all and Rubacuori should suit this length and give a good account.

BLACK IS BACK
RACE 2
We wish Owen all the best for a good run today.

SAMS QUEST
RACE 4
Again Owen is the Trainer and he will be keen on seeing how Sam goes in this race.

BELMONT
SATURDAY 4TH MAY
AMELIAS DANCER
RACE 5 - 1600m
Peter is very keen to see Dancer perform in its pet distance and hopefully will get over the line First.

DREAM MERGER
RACE 3 - 1400m
Belmont was a better selection than long run to Northam.  Hopefully barrier draw wont discourage a good run.

AMELIA PARK
PETER WILL ENJOY A SHORT BREAK THIS WEEK.  He has been non stop entertaining and conducting  Business since last Thursday when the Chinese arrived. After spending time in Perth on the weekend Peter bought Mr Chen, Linda and Management Team home to the Farm for yet another formal evening.    It was all a great success, Mr Chen was very taken with the way Peter has designed his Home and surrounds, I think he has taken a few ideas back to China.

Jennifer also left Amelia Park on the weekend to firstly spend a few days in Bali and then home to South Africa.  Peter really enjoyed having Jennifer and Bolda for the past week at the farm.

Peter, Sharon and Peters French Advisor Luis will all spend time this week going thru the task of matching horses for mating and breeding.  A big task.

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL THE HORSES FOR TODAY & SATURDAY.

I look forward to reporting News to you next week.

kind regards

Shelley
