Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News Update.
CALMER WEATHER THIS WEEK
Which allows the staff to get a run at clearing all the debris from the Farm.
RACING:
NORTHAM - THURSDAY
SONGBURG - RACE 1
Should be in with a big chance - has a good barrier draw.
Songurg left Amelia Park in beautiful condition so Peter is keen for a good result.
AMELIAS DANCER
Will leave the Stables this weekend and travel to Perth for preparation . Should be running in a couple of weeks.
REPRISAL
Still at the Farm and going as planned.
TRACK OUT OF ACTION
The Farm track was out of action for a few days due to fallen debris and very soggy track. But it wasn't a holiday for the horses. They spent their trackwork time in the Walker, Pool and Round Yards. I think they enjoyed a different routine for a change. BACK ON TRACK NOW.
Peter is looking forward to the weekend in Perth.
He will be attending an event, guest of Rob Wiley, for the Foundation of Juniors Football. He is a great friend of Rob's and loves Football so he will enjoy this outing.
Just to tell you again, the Farm paddocks are looking fabulous as is the whole Farm and the Creek is filling up fast.
ENJOY YOUR RACING FOLKS!

DOWN FOR DAYS
Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News from Amelia Park Estate.
Firstly, Peter hopes everyone and their property is safe and sound after the battering Sunday and Tuesday.
WE COPPED IT AGAIN AT AMELIA PARK
It is so sad to see what devastation is done after Storms. A lot of the Farms beautiful Trees were destroyed along with horse fences and debris everywhere and NO POWER FOR DAYS.
It certainly makes you appreciate what it must have been like in the old days - No Water, No Power, No SHOWER. The road leading to the Farm - Kaloorup Road - once again was the worst hit, the number of trees down closed the road for some hours.
Thankfully Tuesdays Storm wasn't as severe as predicted.
THE CLEANUP CONTINUES........
THE ONLY GOOD NEWS OUT OF ALL THIS - THE CREEK IS RUNNING !
RACING
BELMONT TODAY
MADAME DE AMELIA - 3RD
PETER VERY PLEASED, IT WAS A BRIGHT LIGHT FROM A DARK WEEK FOR HIM.
SAD LOSS
Unfortunately one of Peters great hopes - half sister to Madame De Amelia had to be put down after breaking her leg during the storm on Sunday. Luckily she didn't suffer to long which was a blessing.
2ND SAD LOSS
Thieves at The Tavern
Sadly the Tavern will now be locked each night after losing money and wine and spirits on the weekend. They certainly spoil it for Peter who tries to make his property available to family, friends and staff.
Well we sure hope we have seen the last of the storms and damage for quite a while and just receive LOTS OF RAIN.
Enjoy the rest of your storm free week and look forward to GOOD NEWS next week.
PETER - NEXT WEEK WILL BE BETTER!!!

Hello and Welcome to this weeks News for Amelia Park Estate.
ITS OFFICIAL
OUR WINTER MONTHS HAVE ARRIVED - APPARENTLY!!!
We now wait for the RAIN TO COME!
RACING
Peter is excited about next week as 2 Horses will go to the track -
Madam de Amelia and Songbird. Good luck Peter lets hope the campaign has begun. There has been some changes to the Training so it will be new times.
BURNING OFF
Peter and the men will be having a ball and fighting over the matches. Its burn off time so they will be in their glory. The Tractors will be out in force - I am going to judge who has the biggest bonfire. Something about men and fires!!!!
LUSH PADDOCKS
The paddocks are looking great as they green up and they to are waiting for some rain to flourish.
BUSY LONG WEEKEND
Having beautiful weather Peter enjoyed entertaining at the Farm with several groups of visitors. He was very busy as usual - and loving it.
HOLIDAY WELL EARNED
ABBAS - Our new AUSSIE will return home to India on Sunday for a few months. It has been a long haul for Abbas but now he can enjoy a long overdue holiday with his Family. Peter is overjoyed that Abbas passed all tests with flying colours and he is truly PART OF THE FAMILY. Peter is taking him to Dinner at Newtown House on Thursday to again thank him for all is dedication and hard work.
The Staff will certainly miss him and will all rally round to fill in while he is away. Peter remarked that the best thing at the Farm is that all staff just get in and all help whenever they are needed.
Wanga visited the Farm yesterday, he is slowly recuperating but I think getting very restless not being with the horses everyday. We all miss his sick humour.
I hope to report on THE CREEK FILLING UP in next weeks update.
Enjoy your week
HAPPY HOLIDAY ABBAS
WE WILL ALL MISS YOU

TRIAL WIN - NOW LETS GET RACING
Hello and welcome to this weeks News Update of Amelia Park Estate.
RACING
A good win at Trials on Monday for Madame de Amelia, everyone was very pleased as a lot of hard work has gone into Pre Training at the Farm. Owen was chuffed.
There has been alot of tinkering and making some changes together with having seed analysed.
So as Peter says, its time to get back on track and start celebrating again.
Syndicate Horse Pants on friar arrived at Ascot last week to begin preparations.
AMELIAS DANCER - 'Star of the Stables'
Peter said Dancer is looking in excellent condition and is now bigger and stronger than ever.
BETTER THAN THE PICTURE
Peter has returned from Mauritius (dragging Annie with him - she didnt want to come back). He said the place is ' DELICIOUS MAURITIUS ', David and Rita Rodwell were the perfect Hosts and made their time there very special.
Peter especially enjoyed this trip as it was PURE HOLIDAY.
GROUNDED FOR 5 WEEKS
Peter is now home for a spell and cant wait to get back into the goings on at the Farm.
His House is still on track for completion in October and is looking awesome.
Which hopefully I can report on next week.
ENJOY YOUR LONG WEEKEND FOR OUR "WEST AUSTRALIA DAY"

ENVIOUS
MAURITIUS
Welcome everyone
Just come across one of the beautiful pictures of this beautiful spot. Peter and Annie are currently there visiting Peters good friend David Rodwell - IT LOOKS VERY INVITING DOESN'T IT!!!
I look forward to hearing all about their adventure next week.
AMELIA PARK
Our Stable Manager Owen reported that he is very pleased with the Pre-Training Programme and some of the horses will leave for Perth next week. He is quite keen to see these horses progression in Perth.
He also reported that a Trainer from Ireland requested to visit the Farm as he had heard good reports and was told not to miss having a look over the place. Owen said he welcomed James Halpin and had an interesting meeting and showed him over the Farm.
Peter will be pleased to hear we have had a visitor.
My goodness it has been cold in the mornings and evenings. As the kettle gets put on in the early mornings I think of the staff that have been already working for 1 hour OUTSIDE and feel for them - Glad its them and not me!!!
Keep Warm everyone and look forward to Peters report next week and HOPEFULLY A RAIN REPORT.

BEAUTIFUL AUTUMN DAY AT THE FARM
ONE OF THE PEACEFUL SETTINGS AT AMELIA PARK
Hello everyone and welcome to this weeks News.
BACK FROM SYDNEY
The credit card looking very sad.
A surprise for Samantha. Peter took Sammy to Sydney with him last week and she was full of joy to spend time with her Dad. They took in the wonderful sights and dined at a very special Restaurant - SPICE TEMPLE. Peter said it was unbelievable. If your heading that way make sure to try it out.
AND THEN IT WAS OFF ON THE SHOPPING SPREE. Sammy - as they say "shopped till she dropped" - and then Peter dropped when he saw the card balance.
Peter said it was worth it to see Sammy smiling.
WALSH ANNUAL FAMILY DAY AT THE FARM
The Walsh clan is certainly expanding, it was great to see everyone enjoy the day, Vern was very happy to see the Family spending quality time together.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ABBAS
FINALLY - ABBAS HAS NOW BEEN CONFIRMED AS AN "AUSSIE". After a long procedure that Peter and Abbas had to endure his Resident Visa has been confirmed.
Peter is thrilled and he is now a permanent fixture at Amelia Park. He arrives back from Bali today so we will all be celebrating with him. He will now be able to arrange for his Family to come over and live - how exciting for Abbas he has certainly done the long hard yards.
THE DROUGHT HAS TO COME TO AN END!!
Peter, Lou and Dion have been working hard these last months trying to turn around the drought in the racing game. A couple of horses are due to leave for Perth next week so in the next few weeks will be ready for trialling and hopefully the changes that have been made will see better campaigns in the near future.
WE ALL WANT TO GET TO THE TRACK!
MASSAGE & DAY SPA
Receiving great feed back each week with Vicki working 7 days a week. Her hands must get very very tired!!!
Sammy has some friends staying over this weekend so Vicki is going to be very busy.
Vicki's number again for people wanting to make an appointment - IT IS CERTAINLY WORTH IT!

Peter and Annie are off to MAURITIUS on Sunday for approximately a week. They have been invited by Peters great friend David Rodwell so being one of the few places Peter hasn't been to he is looking forward to exploring this beautiful place.
I look forward to hearing from Peter during the week for his News Update.
Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!

THE GREEN GREEN GRASS OF THE FARM
Hi and welcome everyone to this weeks News Update.
It is a relatively quiet week (social wise) for Peter this past week. He enjoyed his weekend home on the Farm, he has been planting new trees on the Dam islands which in time will make it a haven for the bird life here.
SYDNEY
Peter flys out to Sydney and will return Friday.
FAMILY AFFAIR
Peter is looking forward to having a day with the Walsh Family at the Tavern on Saturday which will be great to catch up, with everyone being so busy and the family expanding its not always easy to get together.
Hopefully in approximately 3 weeks the horses will be ready for a run at the track, we can't wait!!
WINTER GREEN
Its hard to believe that in only 2 weeks the Paddocks have got their beautiful green grass back. What a bit of rain can do! YOU CAN SEE HOW HAPPY THE HORSES ARE.
MASSAGE & DAY SPA
Vicki is very pleased with the amount of guests visiting, she said there are a lot of regulars now who have weekly/fortnightly bookings which is increasing all the time. Their comments coming thru is that they are certainly benefiting from massages on a regular basis. They do say (as Peter says) "Vicki is excellent on those Pressure Points" . So please bear in mind how busy Vicki is and call in advance to make your Bookings. Glenn received a Gift for a Full Body Massage and I am trying to be nice so he will maybe let me have it for him!!!!
Thats all the news I have for you this week so enjoy your weekend, happy racing and look forward to reporting to you next week.
