COULDN'T RESIST!

Hi to all, another week rolls by, can't believe its half way through February already.

LAST Week Results

Black Habit - unfortunately had feet problems so will get an easy week to recover.
Castle Blitz - was expected to perform well but due to hot humid conditions, breathing problems and heal pain which has been checked by the Vet, he will be rested for a month or so. We hope it cools down for him.
Almohad - a good run for 3rd, he is being stepped up slowly for preparation of the WA Derby in April.
Destroid - Everyone disappointed at this run, staff are trying to work out why not performing so as always they will keep trying.
We started with 3 Favourites so overall it was a disappointing race week, but as they say - THATS RACING.
Better weeks and months to come!

THIS Weeks Racing

Ascot Wednesday
Outside Influence - Race 3 Titan Ford Handicap at 1.53pm - tune in and should give a good crack at it.
Ascot Saturday
Amelias Reason - A possibility for Ascot on Saturday or on to 28th February for an all age race or a colts and geldings event on the 7th March, all fingers crossed and we will keep you informed.
A quiet week on the track so I hope all the horses enjoy their rest.

UPDATE - REPRISAL - Tasmania
Has arrived back in Adelaide at Lindsay Park Stables and will have a short spell and then be stepped up for the upcoming Derby if shows good response. Enjoy your rest Reprisal.

Luciani Stables
Caesars Symbol - Syndicate Horse - it was decided to move this horse on and we wish Ron White in Kalgoorlie every success and confident Caesars Symbol should improve over the next few seasons.

Magic Million Sales- COULDN'T RESIST - I KNEW IT
Peter thoroughly enjoyed his time with Sam Hayes, Darren Thomas and Pilko from Lindsay Park Stables catching up on the latest racing news. HOWEVER there were 4 Horses that caught his eye at the Sales so they have arrived safely at Amelia Park to start their career.
They have all come from good breeding and winning families - there is a half brother to Amelias Reason which Sam and Darren have taken shares in, a full brother to Secret Vault and half sister to China Bay. Peter is looking forward to his new stock maturing and continuing in their families footsteps.

Shares - Peter advised that there will be opportunity to invest in these horses as there is still a minimum number of shares left. Keep an eye out as there will be more information on the breeding and pictures in the next weeks.

Amelia Park
The girls are busy with organising room for the arrival of approximately 8 yearlings . Its great to see the trucks off loading them and being introduced to their new home. The other horses here certainly give them the once over.
All works are progressing on the landscaping of the new cellar, it is shaping up to be something special and also construction of a new home is well underway.
The Orchard has just been covered with bird netting which will ensure fresh fruit during the summer months.
Its all go as usual at Amelia Park.

Flora & Fauna
The southern boundary of Amelia Park is lined with Casurina (Sheok) trees which were planted some 4 years ago and now offer protection for nesting of willie wagtails, wattle birds and a flock of finches. It is heartening to see the natural wildlife happy and thriving in this new invironment.
Our resident Kangaroos have produced a new joey. We have a resident buck and a doe which has suffered a leg injury but still manages to visit our orchard each evening with her joey in tow.

Enjoy your week everyone and until next week -

Regards

Shelley
