Past Present & Future at Amelia Park

Welcome to Amelia Park, another weekend has passed and hopefully made everyone refreshed for the coming events of the week.

Past Racing Results - Outside Influence
It was a great race but was unlucky to get held up the length of the straight, would certainly have been in the finish if it had had a clear run.

This Weeks Busy Racing Schedule
Ascot Wednesday
Black habit - 1800m Race
should be very hard to beat in this race.
Castle Blitz - 1200m 3yo Race
Very close to winning now so should go well here.
Almohad - is now ready to return with good results to set up for the Derby.

Pinjarra Thursday
Destroid - No more shaky jumps
Should certainly be right at the finish

Here is to good racing results for all Horses and Owners

Magic Million Sales - Wednesday & Thursday
Peter will ONLY be going to the Sales to supposedly catch up with Breeders and Sam Hayes. I am not confident there wont be any buying - I don't think Peter trusts himself either so it will be interesting when he returns home. I will keep you posted.

Early Morning Arrivals
The Staff were greeted at 5am on the 5th with 2 horses that safely arrived from New Zealand, bought over by Lou. The staff said they have settled in very well here with no effects from the long trip.
There maybe some shares in the offering with these horses and you will be advised in due course of their details along with other horses.

Staff at Amelia Park
I thought introducing the Staff to you by name so when you visit Amelia Park you will know who is looking after your horse.
Kristy - our Stable Manager
She is in control of the Pre-Training and management of the horses.
Tegan - Kristys Assistant works with the horses and assists Kristy with the pre-training and grooming.
I think I hear them both singing to some of the horses on their way to the track each morning.
Abas - is in control of feeding the paddock horses as well as keeping the track and stables to a good standard. He makes a very hot curry
Peter is very pleased indeed with his staff, especially in the excellent treatment of everyones horses.

Luciani Stables
Lou is very busy getting the horses ready for this weeks events. He was at Amelia Park last
week and together him and the staff set up new programmes for the coming months which should be very exciting.
We did get Lou back to Perth in time for his interview on Inside Racing on the weekend. Peter said it was a credit to Lou for his past and present success in the Industry and wishes him luck for the future. Im sure you will be able to see a replay on Sky, it is worth a watch.

Amelia Park
Ongoing Works
Well the trucks have arrived for the landscaping and rock pool areas at the new Cellar, I lost count today of how many trucks threw up the dust along the road into the dam area and there will be plenty of movement in the weeks to come.

Flora & Fauna
Over the coming weeks we will introduce you to the native Flora and Fauna that make Amelia Park their home.
Such as the silhoette of the Ibis that roost at night in the tall blossoming Marri trees that grow in our unique area. The combination of native trees and the many European species that Peter has introduced is creating a micro environment, encouraging birdlife and native reptiles and animals into our piece of Paradise. We will keep you informed of natures transition into the 4 Seasons and the animals and birdlife that visit us.

Everyone enjoy your Racing this week and look forward to posting winning results.

regards
Shelley
